High myopia and age‑related cataracts are prevalent ocular disorders that compromise visual acuity. The molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions remain largely unclear. Here, microRNA (miRNA or miR) sequencing was performed on aqueous humor samples obtained from individuals with high (AH, n=9), young patients (YH, n=9) a control group of elderly cataracts, matched in terms sex age (AN, n=9). miRNA differential expression were performed. Numerous studies have demonstrated a close relationship between choroidal thickness (ChT), sclera/choroidal hypoxia, and the onset progression of myopia. Far-infrared (FIR) therapy is traditional method used to enhance microcirculation. In this study, we estimated effectiveness FIR in myopia control explored its underlying mechanisms. Furthermore, compared efficacy from two different sources controlling Guinea pigs were divided into three groups, all which underwent minus lens induction for 4 weeks. Two groups received simultaneous intervention, either radiator (FIRR) lamp or an innovative material (FIRM). Refraction, axial length (AL), ChT, levels hypoxia-labeled pimonidazole choroid sclera measured. Both FIRR FIRM inhibited increases refraction AL attenuate decrease ChT. They also mitigated scleral hypoxia. Compared FIRR, greater effect on hypoxia attenuation. However, difference reduction was not statistically significant. effectively controls myopia, may represent breakthrough management near future.

The relationship between vitamin A supplementation and myopia has been a topic of debate, with conflicting inconclusive findings. We aimed to determine whether there is causal the risk using Mendelian randomization (MR) meta-analytical methods. Genetic variants from UK Biobank FinnGen studies associated response were employed as instrumental variables evaluate myopia.
