Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor that primarily forms in the ovaries. It often goes undetected until it has spread to pelvis and abdomen, making more challenging treat fatal. Numerous studies demonstrated therapeutic potential of Linum usitatissimum against ovarian cancer, but specific molecular mechanisms remain elusive. Hypertension is a known risk factor for clear cell renal carcinoma (ccRCC), yet the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Studies have confirmed that renin-angiotensin system (RAS) plays role beyond regulating blood pressure, influencing various aspects of tumor development and metastasis. Generally, activation angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)/angiotensin II (Ang II)/angiotensin type 1 receptor (AT1R) axis elevates pressure promotes progression, while 2 (ACE2)/[Ang-(1-7)]/Mas (MasR) antagonizes these effects. Consequently, many cardiovascular drugs targeting RAS may possess both hypotensive antitumor properties. However, in ccRCC controversial. To explore this, we reviewed relevant literature.
