A new weathering steel suitable for low salinity conditions was developed in this paper. The corrosion evolution of test under simulated tropical marine atmosphere studied by alternating dry/wet tests, electrochemical techniques, morphology characterization and component analysis. It indicated that the relative performance ratio Mo-alloyed Ni-advanced is superior to 3Ni due adsorption Mo's oxide NiFe2O4 rust layer. This interaction prevents from disintegrating, enhances density layer, improves its protecti0ve properties.
