Abstract Background Our previous studies have indicated that mRNA and protein levels of PPIH are significantly upregulated in Hepatocellular Carcinoma (LIHC) could act as predictive biomarkers for patients with LIHC. Nonetheless, the expression implications etiology progression common solid tumors yet to be explored, including its potential a serum tumor marker. Methods We employed bioinformatics analyses, augmented clinical sample evaluations, investigate gene regulation networks various tumors. also assessed association between overall survival (OS) cancer using Kaplan-Meier analysis TCGA database information. Furthermore, we evaluated feasibility diagnostic efficacy marker by integrating serological established markers. Results Through pan-cancer analysis, found multiple were different from those normal tissues. This study is first report markedly elevated LIHC, Colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), Breast (BC), associated worse prognosis these patients. Conversely, decreased (LIHC, COAD, BC, gastric cancer), when combined traditional markers, offer enhanced sensitivity specificity diagnosis. Conclusion findings propose may serve valuable biomarker patients, secreted marker, providing insights into role development progression.

Gastric cancer (GC) is the fifth most common worldwide, particularly prevalent in Asia, especially China, where both its incidence and mortality rates are significantly high. Meanwhile, nanotechnology has demonstrated great potential treatment of GC. In particular, nanodrug delivery systems have improved therapeutic efficacy targeting through various functional modifications, such as peptides, tumor microenvironment responsiveness, instrument-based methods. For instance, silica (SiO2) excellent biocompatibility can be used a drug carrier, with porous structure enhancing loading capacity. Polymer nanoparticles regulate release mechanisms by altering material composition preparation Lipid efficiently encapsulate hydrophilic drugs promote cellular uptake, while carbon-based biosensors delivery. Targets integrins, HER2 receptors, been to improve GC treatment. Nanodrug techniques not only enhance capabilities but also selectively target cells. Currently, there lack systematic summarization synthesis regarding relationship between treatment, which some extent hinders researchers clinicians from searching for referencing related studies, thereby reducing work efficiency. This study aims systematically summarize existing research on making it easier professionals search reference, promoting further role their clinical applications review discusses functionalized nanocarriers recent years, including surface modifications targeted markers, combination phototherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, along advantages challenges. It examines future prospects nanomaterials The focuses combined application multiple modalities, demonstrating multimodal treatments. Furthermore, thoroughly explores specific challenges that face biocompatibility, control, translation issues, providing outlook developments. Additionally, this emphasizes value feasibility applications, contrasting reviews focus basic research. Through these innovations, we offer new perspectives directions development

Prior studies have established correlations between gut microbiota (GM) dysbiosis, circulating metabolite alterations, and gastric cancer (GC) risk. However, the causal nature of these associations remains uncertain. We utilized summary data from genome-wide association (GWAS) on GM (European, n=8,956), blood metabolites n=120,241; East Asian, n=4,435), GC n=476,116; n=167,122) to perform a bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, investigating effects Additionally, we conducted mediation analysis (two-step MR) identify potential mediators in GM-GC relationship. identified twelve negative seven positive specific taxa For metabolites, traits were found be significantly associated with reduced risk European population, findings subsequently validated Asian cohort. Three showed five metabolic traits: Bacteroidia class Bacteroidales order positively correlated (all P < 0.013), while Bacteroides OTU97_27 exhibited correlation one (P = 0.007). Two-step MR indicated that total lipids intermediate-density lipoprotein (IDL), IDL particle concentration, phospholipids medium low-density (LDL), small LDL, free cholesterol LDL indirectly influenced class/Bacteroidales GC, proportions 1.71% 0.048), 1.69% 2.05% 0.045), 1.85% 1.99% respectively. The present study provides suggestive evidence relationship GM, risk, potentially offering new insights into etiology.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are a special class of non‑coding that widely expressed in tissues and cells. Owing to their lack 5'‑cap 3'‑polyadenylated [poly(A)] tail, they more structurally stable difficult degrade compared with linear RNA. Numerous studies published recently have suggested circRNAs can encode peptides or proteins through cap‑independent translation mechanisms participate the occurrence development cancer. In present review, mechanism underlying encoding by circRNAs, biological information tools available for predicting translation, identification verification translational abilities summarized analyzed. Finally, associated circRNA‑encoded polypeptides various types cancer summarized. this review its discussion on coding function, we hope provide novel perspectives possibilities treatment as knowledge area is added developed future.
