The persistence of SARS-CoV-2 or its RNA on surfaces, points, wastewaters may increase the risk transmission this virus. Therefore, we conducted review to discuss places and surfaces with highest potential for infection spread Several common public areas, hospitals, elevators, transport, local markets, such as toilets, door handles, untreated treated wastewaters, wastewater plants, washrooms are also considered major points spreading SARS-CoV-2. Highly contaminated often have materials contain items made which virus can persist (e.g., metal, wood, plastic). For example, exist up 4 days doorknobs by those materials. transports, crowding enclosed spaces source transmission. measures using copper alloy instead metal disinfectants, suitable personal protective equipment been suggested. Our research could be basis help develop studies existence transmissibility well take prevent limit harmful effects COVID-19 pandemic.

Wastewater based epidemiology (WBE) is an important tool to fight against COVID-19 as it provides insights into the health status of targeted population from a small single house large municipality in cost-effective, rapid, and non-invasive way. The implementation wastewater surveillance (WBS) could reduce burden on public system, management pandemics, help make informed decisions, protect health. In this study, with patients was for monitoring prevalence SARS-CoV-2 genetic markers samples (WS) clinical specimens (CS) period 30 days. RT-qPCR technique employed target nonstructural (ORF1ab) structural-nucleocapsid (N) protein genes SARS-CoV-2, according validated experimental protocol. Physiological, environmental, biological parameters were also measured following American Public Health Association (APHA) standard protocols. viral shedding peaked when highest number cases clinically diagnosed. Throughout study period, 7450 23,000 gene copies/1000 mL detected, where we identified 47 % (57/120) positive WS 35 (128/360) CS. When patient lowest (2), CT value (39.4; i.e., copy number) WS. On other hand, (6), (25.2 numbers) obtained An advance signal increased load found earlier than Using customized primer sets traditional PCR approach, confirmed that all variants both CS Delta (B.1.617.2). To our knowledge, first follow-up determine temporal relationship between their discharge RNA including family members sampling developing country (Bangladesh), proper sewage system lacking. salient findings indicate virus identify cases, which reduces during pandemics.

Amid the 2019 coronavirus disease pandemic (COVID-19), scientific community has a responsibility to provide accessible public health resources within their communities. Wastewater based epidemiology (WBE) been used monitor spread of pandemic. The goal this review was evaluate need for an environmental justice approach COVID-19 WBE starting with state California in United States. Methods included peer-reviewed literature, government-provided data, and news stories. As June 2021, there were twelve universities, nine dashboards, 48 384 wastewater treatment plants monitoring SARS-CoV-2 California. majority conducted urban areas Coastal Southern (34/48), lack more rural Central (10/48) Northern (4/48). Similar access clinical testing vaccinations, is disparity which can often early warning system outbreaks. This research demonstrates equity considerations when determining locations monitoring.

Wastewater-based epidemiology (WBE) has a long history of identifying variety viruses from poliovirus to coronaviruses, including novel Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The presence and detection SARS-CoV-2 in human feces its passage into the water bodies are significant public health challenges. Hence, hot issue WBE coronavirus respiratory disease (COVID-19) pandemic is matter utmost importance (e.g., SARS-CoV-1). present review discusses background, state art, actual status, prospects WBE, as well quantification protocols wastewater. studies have been performed different matrixes such influent effluent wastewater treatment plants, suburban pumping stations, hospital wastewater, sewer networks around globe except for Antarctica. findings revealed that all were accordance with clinical epidemiological data, which correlates ribonucleic acid (RNA) number new daily positive cases officially reported. This last was confirmed via Reverse Transcriptase-quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) testing unfortunately not suitable real-time surveillance. In addition, concept may act faster protocol alert authorities take administrative orders (possible re-emerging infections) due impracticality citizens short time limited diagnostic facilities. Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), caused by SARS-CoV-2, evolved into a global pandemic in 2020, and the outbreak has taken an enormous toll on individuals, families, communities societies around world. One practical effective strategy is to implement rapid case identification based testing respond this public health crisis. Currently, available technologies used for diagnostics include RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, ELISA NGS. Still, due their different limitations, they are not well suited diagnosis variety of locations. Paper-based devices alternative approaches achieve diagnosis, which cost-effective, highly selective, sensitive, portable, easy-to-use. In addition individual virus screening, wastewater-based epidemiology been emerged be way early warning within population, tests viral genome sequence reflect information spread distribution because SARS-CoV-2 can shed wastewater through feces urine from infected population. paper, we describe paper-based device as low-cost sensor both sewage outbreak. More importantly, great potential real-time detection field, without any advanced facilities or well-trained skilled personnel, provides timely intervention pandemic.
