In recent years, the phenomenon of acute poisoning and organ damage caused by organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) has been a frequent occurrence. Chlorpyrifos (CPF) is one most widely used pesticides. The main active components ginseng stems leaves are total stem-and-leaf saponins (GSLSs), which have various biological effects, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant anti-tumor activities. We speculate that these could great potential in treatment severe diseases relief organophosphorus-pesticide-induced side effects; however, their mechanism action still unknown. At present, our work aims to evaluate effects GSLSs on antioxidation CPF vivo vitro pharmacological mechanisms. Mice treated with (5 mg/kg) showed intestinal mucosal injury, an elevated diamine oxidase (DAO) index, decreased expression occlusive protein-1 (ZO-1) protein, impaired oxidation system villi relaxation. addition, chlorpyrifos exposure significantly increased contents inflammatory factor TNF-α oxidative-stress-related indicators superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione SH (GSH), peroxidase (GSH-PX), reactive oxygen species (ROS) capacity (T-AOC); level lipid peroxide malondialdehyde (MDA); reversed Bax caspase; activated NF-κB-related proteins. Interestingly, GSLS supplementation at doses 100 200 mg/kg changes after treatment. Similar results were observed cultured RAW264.7 cells. Lead (Pb), a heavy metal environmental pollutant, poses threat to the health of humans and birds. Inflammation is one most common pathological phenomena in case illness poisoning. However, underlying mechanisms inflammation remain unclear. The cerebellum thalamus are important parts nervous system. To date, there have been no reports Pb inducing animal cerebellums or thalami. Selenium (Se) can relieve Therefore, we aimed explore mechanism by which Se alleviates toxicity thalami chickens establishing chicken or/and treatment model. Our results demonstrated that exposure caused inflammatory damage thalami, evidenced characteristics inflammation, decrease anti-inflammatory factors (interleukin (IL)-2 interferon-γ (INF-γ)), increase pro-inflammatory (IL-4, IL-6, IL-12β, IL-17, nitric oxide (NO)). Moreover, found IL-2/IL-17–NO pathway took part Pb-caused injury. above findings were reversed supplementation dietary Se, meaning relieved via pathway. In addition, an up-regulated oxidative index malondialdehyde (MDA) two down-regulated antioxidant indices (glutathione (GSH) total capacity (TAC)) recorded after received stimulation, indicating excess oxidant/antioxidant imbalance stress, stress mediated GSH–IL-2 axis. Interestingly, inhibited four glutathione peroxidase (GPx) family members (GPx1, GPx2, GPx3, GPx4), three deiodinase (Dio) (Dio1, Dio2, Dio3), fifteen other selenoproteins (selenophosphate synthetase 2 (SPS2), selenoprotein (Sel)H, SelI, SelK, SelM, SelO, SelP1, SelPb, SelS, SelT, SelU, (Sep)n1, Sepw1, Sepx1, Sep15), suggesting reduced resulted involving SPS2–GPx1–GSH supplementation, as expected, changes mentioned above, improved mitigated chickens. For first time, discovered SPS2–GPx1–GSH–IL-2/IL-17–NO involved complex conclusion, this study Pb-induced This offers novel insights into pollutant-caused poisoning provides theoretical basis for detoxification effect against toxic pollutants.

Nanoplastics (NPs, < 1 μm) have attracted widespread attention due to their potential threats organisms, ecosystem, and public health. However, there is limited research on the effects of NPs cephalopods. Sepia esculenta (Mollusks, Cephalopoda, Sepioidea), an economically major species Sepiidea family in world, well received by consumers for its delicious quality rich nutrition. In present study, S. larvae were treated with polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-NPs) at 50 μg/mL 4 h, then physiological biomarkers (SOD, GSTs MDA) RNA-Seq whole body performed. Sepia esculenta is a tasty and nutritious cephalopod. But the trend toward global warming accelerating with massive emissions of greenhouse gases. Extensive application of lead (Pb) brought about environmental pollution and toxic reactions organisms. Selenium (Se) has the effect antagonizing Pb poisoning in humans animals. However, it is still unclear how causes brainstem toxicity. In present study, we wanted to investigate whether Se can alleviate toxicity chicken brainstems by reducing apoptosis. One hundred eighty chickens were randomly divided into four groups, namely control group, Se/Pb group. Morphological examination, ultrastructural observation, relative mRNA expressions genes on heat shock proteins (HSPs); selenoproteins; inflammatory cytokines; apoptosis-related factors investigated. The results showed that exposure led tissue damage apoptosis brainstems. Polygonatum sibiricum polysaccharide (PSP) has demonstrated diverse medicinal properties, extensively researched for human applications.
