Abstract Objective This study examines the determinants of green total factor productivity in marine fisheries, considering role Sustainable Development Goal 14 (SDG 14) promoting sustainable resource utilization and conservation. Methods employs panel data from 57 countries between 2001 2021 to estimate efficiency scores through directional distance function Malmquist–Luenberger model by incorporating inputs (labor, fishing vessels, energy consumption) outputs (gross ocean product carbon dioxide emissions). A truncated regression analysis is conducted explore relationship SDG (GTFP) while controlling for financial resources macroeconomic indicators. Result The findings indicate that significantly enhances both constant returns scale (CRS) technical variable (VRS) pure efficiency, underscoring importance conservation management. Additionally, (like lending government investment), research innovation development, number researchers, foreign funds), factors gross product, domestic inflation) positively influence productivity. Conclusion results underscore practices enhancing GTFP fisheries. Integrated policies focusing on investment, innovation, stability are essential achieve greater sustainability this sector.

The digital economy plays an important role in promoting the high quality and sustainable development of marine fishery economy. Based on panel data from 2011 to 2022, we firstly adopted entropy method comprehensively evaluate level fishing. Secondly, constructed a two-way fixed effect model empirically analyze impact mediating green science technology innovation, further explored regional heterogeneity quality. Several findings emerge. was relatively low showed fluctuating increase. can significantly improve fishing, conclusion still valid after considering series robustness tests. drive through innovation. This paper proposes fostering advancement sector, effectively harness innovation-driven potential economy, so as facilitate harmonious both economies.

Enhancing the marine carrying capacity (MCC) is of important value in hastening transformation economy and realising high-quality development (MEHD). We explore synergistic mechanism between MCC MEHD its comprehensive indicator system, measure relationship China’s from 2006 to 2020 using improved TOPSIS model composite system synergism model, influencing factors their interactions geographic probes. The research findings are (1) that show a growing trend during study period, which green at higher level cultivation knowledge improves most significantly, but general relatively low. (2) In terms relationship, degree ordering two shows sustained rising trend, as whole than MCC; synergy increasing, (3) main driving consumption capacity, opening, industrial structure; explanatory power factor tends decrease, among land-based economy, industry structure, increase, impacts different on all greater factors. influence each alone.

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices have become a crucial pathway for the sustainable development of enterprises, so shipping enterprises. Based on unbalanced panel data China’s A-share listed enterprises from 2009 to 2022, this study uses multiple regression model empirically test impact ESG performance carbon emission reduction its regional heterogeneity. The findings indicate that significantly reduces intensity conclusion remains robust across various robustness tests endogenetic analyses. Further heterogeneity analysis reveals effect is more pronounced in southern region. These results underscore importance strengthening capabilities as key strategy promoting low-carbon transition achieving development.

The economic growth of marine fisheries is an important driving force for the high-quality development economy. Technological innovation in and investment fishermen's are two basic elements that promote fisheries. However, there little literature delves into internal relationship between three. This article first constructs a model fishery investment, technology innovation, growth, captures relevant data on Zhoushan City from 2000 to 2021. Based this, VAR used empirical research. research results indicate that: (1) significant positive mutual promotion effect growth; (2) progress economy also have mutually promoting effect; (3) expenditure fishermen has certain technology, but no impact Therefore, order achieve economy, attention should be paid guidance further improve market protection mechanism expenditure, strengthen technological high-speed

With the proposal of dual carbon goals, enhancing sinks and reducing emissions has become a critical issue. Fisheries, as component agriculture, possess attributes being “carbon sink” (biological fixation) source” (the from fishing vessels). Therefore, it is necessary to assess sink emission levels fisheries. The northern marine economic circle, which includes Liaoning, Hebei, Tianjin, Shandong, an important site for fisheries in China, characterized by abundant aquatic resources. However, comprehensive assessment budget this region still unclear. This study calculated sinks, emissions, net associated with 2013 2020. Additionally, we used sensitivity analysis scenario simulation explore factors influencing emissions. results revealed that circle was deficit amount higher than sinks) downward trend observed, indicating potential achieving neutrality. From perspective provinces, significant differences among provinces (cities) were found terms Shandong having largest Furthermore, production clams use seawater trawl have impact on Increasing while power trawling operations can significantly decrease Based these results, provides relevant suggestions enhance capacity circle.

Abstract In recent years, the research on conversion of chitin to high value-added chemicals has attracted more and attention. At present, method preparing lactic acid from mostly uses strong base or catalyst. These reaction systems have disadvantages such as corrosion containers harm human body. Herein, a simple effective convert organic acids in catalyst base-free conditions is developed. The use H2O2 only can efficiently absence bases catalysts. Under optimal 30 mg chitin, 2.1 mL water, 0.9 at 230 oC for 1.5 h, yield reach 58.2% total 84.0%. This work provides an efficient resource utilization biomass.
