Abstract The mitigation and adaptation strategies to deal with climate change have not been effective so far we still observe the effects derived from this problem. This paper aims explore determinants of individual pro-environmental behaviour Generation Z, given relevance generational cohort in society. Quantitative research is conducted based on 1050 valid questionnaires Z Colombian, Mexican Brazilian citizens. hypothesised relationships were tested through a structural equation model estimated using partial least squares (PLS) regression technique. Our study investigates the relatively unexplored relationships between socio-economic factors and perceptions of climate change their influence on household energy preferences in developing contexts, taking case Nepal. We aim to achieve two objectives: create a robust model identifying key perception variables affecting behaviour; compare respective impacts these factors. Applying mixed-method approach, we surveyed 323 households across 49 districts three physiographic regions (high hills, mid hills Terai plains) fixed explanatory response through literature review evaluated ordinal logistic regression models: one focused solely factors, second only third composite integrating both. Data statistics showed that 47 % respondents preferred no existing status, 23 opted rely completely grid-electricity, 14 favoured switching renewables, while 16 an optimal combination grid-electricity renewables for use. The Composite-model was found be best fit our dataset. identified include urbanization, education levels, availability alternatives indicating wide disparity access use different categories Likewise, magnitude timing summer winter rainfall, changes demands community level subsidies were significant variables. Due to increasing concern about climate change and its impact on the tourism sector, it is vital understand tourists’ decision-making process in relation staying green accommodations.
