Effectively managing fresh food supply chains (FFSCs) has long been a big challenge owing to the complexity in practice. Adoption of innovative technologies, blockchain traceability (BT), and cold-chain preservation (CP) technology improve efficiency FFSC management attracted much attention practically academically. Distinct from existing studies, this paper provides specific insight into application these two technologies by taking account their functions restraining misreporting behavior with BT due its transparency improving freshness CP based on investment equipment. With mind, develops game theoretic models identify conditions under which are optimal selection for supplier/retailer. It assumes that retailer is Stackelberg leader supplier follower. The key findings show that: (1) foci eliminate suppliers’ minimize incentive fees, can increase prices promote order quantities demand; (2) only when consumers demonstrate “appropriate” sensitivity freshness, win–win situation be achieved without adoption technology; (3) suppliers not keen invest or circulation time short, while retailers prefer long.

Effective coordination between production control and distribution planning is critical in supply chain management. However, existing research mainly focuses on responding to stochastic demand, while the impact of uncertain retail capabilities often overlooked. This study proposes a hierarchical framework that integrates coordinates explicitly addressing uncertainty capabilities. Specifically, we develop reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm learns under adaptive (upper level) (lower level). information then fed into framework, which enhances performance both layers maximise system profit considering opportunity costs holding costs. Moreover, incorporate novel function based exponential penalty term reward effectively enforce side constraint inventory capacity. approach enables RL derive feasible policies thereby enhance training process. We evaluate proposed controller through case utilising real-world transaction data from steel manufacturing industry. The results demonstrate accurate identification can facilitate management market conditions. Furthermore, improve overall profits by coordinating actions different strategies.

This study examines the past, present, and future of Supply Chain Resilience (SCR) research in context COVID-19. Specifically, a total 1717 papers SCR field are classified into 11 thematic clusters, which subsequently verified by supervised machine learning approach. Each cluster is then analyzed within COVID-19, leading to identification three associated capabilities (i.e., interconnectedness, transformability, sharing) on firms should focus build more resilient supply chain post-COVID world. The derived insights offer invaluable guidance not only for practicing managers, but also scholars as they design their projects related greatest impact.

The world is facing immense challenges because of increasing strife and the impacts climate change with accompanying disasters, both sudden-onset as well slow-onset ones, which have affected trade agricultural commodities needed for food security. In this paper, a multiperiod, multicommodity, international, network equilibrium model constructed capacity constraints on production, transportation, storage commodities. allows multiple routes between supply demand country markets, different modes transport, in producing consuming countries intermediate countries. generality underlying functions, coupled constraints, allow modeling competition among storage. also enable quantification various disaster-related disruptions to volumes commodity flows prices. A series numerical examples inspired by effects Russia’s full-scale invasion Ukraine presented, results are analyzed provide insights into insecurity issues caused war.
