Biomimetic Artificial Cells (ACs) are engineered systems that mimic the properties and functions of natural cells, offering significant potential for biomedical applications. Background: Nanomedicine has shown significant promise in advancing cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. In particular, nanoparticles (NPs) offer potential for overcoming limitations associated with conventional therapies, such as off-target toxicity side effects. Among the various NPs, silver (AgNPs) have garnered attention due to their cytotoxic genotoxic properties cells. However, despite potential, optimization of AgNPs efficacy often necessitates combination strategies other therapeutic agents. This study explores integrated Zr-based metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) UiO-66 drug delivery, enhance therapy. Methods: We decorated amino-terephthalic based UiO-66-NH2 loaded it chemotherapeutic agent cisplatin (Cis-Pt) make UiO-66-NH2@AgNPs@Cis-Pt. A preliminary MTT assay was conducted evaluate effects nanocomposite on several glioblastoma tumour cell lines, including U251, U87, GL261, HeLa, RKO, HepG2. Results: Our results demonstrate that UiO-66-NH2@AgNPs@Cis-Pt its combinations exhibit enhanced cytotoxicity compared individual components Cis-Pt. Conclusions: work offers insights into AgNP-functionalized MOFs effective delivery platforms, particularly context therapy treatment.
