The influence of exogenous factors is a common cause digestive disorders. Food chemical additives are important in the list harmful factors. Despite availability literature data on their adverse effects various systems and organs, information complex impact ileum limited requires further study. present study aimed to determine metric changes ileal wall rats during early stages administration food including monosodium glutamate, sodium nitrite, ponceau 4R. Materials methods. was conducted mature white rats, divided into control experimental groups. group received saline, prepared following standard methodology for 1 4 weeks orally. Material sampling morphometric studies were performed according generally accepted parameters determined: total average thickness serous membrane, muscle layer, submucosal mucosal layers lseparately. Results. Changes indicators found after first week complex. In particular, intestinal increased by 1.51 times compared control; fourth week, this indicator slightly decreased, although it 1.22 higher than (p<0.05). 1.67 1.35 respectively. layer also changed; 1.12 lower one; 1.21 1.34 previous observation period (p<0.05), As muscular group, 1.58 After 1.19 1.33 period. 1.44 group. There is mounting concern over the potential harms associated with ultra-processed foods, including poor mental health and antisocial behavior. Cutting-edge research provides an enhanced understanding of biophysiological mechanisms, microbiome pathways, invites a historical reexamination earlier work that investigated relationship between nutrition criminal Here, in this perspective article, we explore how emergent casts new light greater significance on previous key observations. Despite expanding interest field dubbed ‘nutritional psychiatry’, there has been relatively little attention paid to its relevancy within criminology justice system. Since public practitioners, allied professionals, policymakers play roles throughout systems, holistic both critical. While are many questions be resolved, available evidence suggests might underappreciated factor prevention treatment along spectrum. The intersection biopsychosocial requires transdisciplinary discussions power structures, industry influence, marketing issues widespread food social inequalities. Some these already occurring under banner ‘food crime’. Given vast societal implications, it our contention subject multidisciplinary criminology—referred here as nutritional criminology—deserves increased scrutiny. Abstract The food industry has been extremely successful in creating a broad range of delicious, affordable, convenient, and safe beverage products. However, many these products are considered to be ultraprocessed foods (UPFs) that contain ingredients processed manner may cause adverse health effects. This review article introduces the concept UPFs briefly discusses fall into this category, including beverages, baked goods, snacks, confectionary, prepared meals, dressings, sauces, spreads, meat analogs. It then correlations between consumption levels diet‐related chronic diseases, such as obesity diabetes. different reasons for proposed ability increase risk diseases critically assessed, displacement whole foods, high energy densities, missing phytochemicals, contamination with packaging chemicals, hyperpalatability, harmful additives, rapid ingestion digestion, toxic reaction Then, potential strategies overcome current problems presented, reducing density, balancing nutritional profile, fortification, increasing satiety response, modulating mastication reengineering structure, precision processing. central argument is it possible reformulate reengineer improve their healthiness sustainability, although still needs proved using rigorous scientific studies.

Global food systems are a central issue for personal and planetary health in the Anthropocene. One aspect of major concern is dramatic global spread ultra-processed convenience foods last 75 years, which linked with rising human burden disease growing sustainability environmental challenges. However, there also calls to radically transform systems, from animal plant-derived protein sources, may have unintended consequences. Commercial entities moved toward this "great plant transition" vigor. Whether motivated by profit or genuine concern, effort has facilitated emergence novel "plant-based" commercial products devoid nutrients fiber, sometimes inclusive high sugar, industrial fats, synthetic additives. These other ingredients combined into often assumed be healthy lower calorie content. available evidence indicates that many these can potentially compromise at all scales-of people, places, planet. In viewpoint, we summarize reflect on discussions presented Nova Network meeting "Future Food", had particular focus encroachment supply, including plant-sourced alternatives (and collective therein) finding their way fast-food chains. We contend while been much uncritical media attention given impact macronutrient sources-meat vs. soy/pea burgers, etc.-the heavy processing both significant but overlooked, effects cognition mental health. This more nuanced discourse considers complexities refocuses priorities value towards mutualistic solutions, co-benefits individuals, local communities, ecology.

In the last few decades consumption of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) worldwide has substantially augmented. Increasing evidence suggests that high UPF is associated with an increase in non-communicable diseases, being overweight, and obesity. The aim this study was to assess how affects oxidative inflammatory status plasma, neutrophils, urine old adults metabolic syndrome. Participants (n = 92) were classified into two groups according consumption. Dietary intakes measured by a validated semi-quantitative 143-item food frequency questionnaire determined NOVA classification system. Low consumers showed higher adherence Mediterranean diet than consumers. A intake fiber concentration polyphenols also observed subjects low Despite absence differences biochemical profile, biomarkers some significant changes. Catalase superoxide dismutase activities lower consumers, whereas myeloperoxidase activity higher. Design Ultra-processed foods (UPFs) have become a pressing global health concern, prompting investigations into their potential association with low muscle mass in adults. Methods This cross-sectional study analyzed data from 10,255 adults aged 20−59 years who participated the National Health and Nutritional Examination Survey (NHANES) during cycles spanning 2011 to 2018. The primary outcome, mass, was assessed using Foundation for Institutes of (FNIH) definition, employing restricted cubic splines weighted multivariate regression analysis. Sensitivity analysis incorporated three other prevalent definitions explore optimal cut points quality context sarcopenia. Results prevalence 7.65%.
