Purpose
This
study
investigates
food
waste
within
the
supply
chain
(FSC),

case
of
fresh
and
short
FSC
(FS-FSC),
aiming
to

causes

at
each
stream,

initiatives

decision/policymakers
in
strategic

Owing
to
their
significant
environmental

impacts,

biocompatible,
biodegradable
materials

urgent
target.

been
directed
toward
developing
new
packaging
based
on
renewable
sources,

circular
economy

largely
remain

a
laboratory
