The influence of the SNP rs174575 (C/G) within fatty acid desaturase 2 gene on levels long-chain PUFA was determined through statistical meta-analysis. The growing interest in Omega-3 fatty acids as diagnostic markers or new therapeutic approaches also for COVID-19 disease, led us to investigate the presence of potential correlations between acids' levels whole blood and days hospitalization admission paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) 51 children with MIS-C diagnosis following SARS-CoV-2 infection. Background With increased life expectancy, cognitive decline has emerged as a prevalent neurodegenerative disorder. Objective This study aimed to examine the correlation between concentrations of Plasma long-chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (LCPUFAs) and performance in elderly Americans. Methods Data were analyzed from older adults enrolled two NHANES cycles. Participants completed four assessments, including Immediate Recall Test (IRT), Delayed (DRT), Animal Fluency (AFT), Digit Symbol Substitution (DSST). Linear regression restricted cubic spline modeling examined associations plasma LCPUFAs levels test outcomes. Results The cohort included 610 aged 69 years on average, 300 (49.2%) males 310 (50.8%) females. median concentration was 309.4 μmol/L, with an interquartile range 244.7–418.9 μmol/L.
