Aeromonas hydrophila is a freshwater, facultatively anaerobic, chemo-organoheterotrophic bacterium that distressed fishes with gastroenteritis, septicemia and causes disease known as Motile Septicemia (MAS), which affects the aquatic environment. Haemolysin, aerolysin, cytosine, gelatinase, enterotoxin antimicrobial peptides have been identified virulence factors in A. hydrophila. Medicinal herbs/plants their uses are instant, easily available, cost-effective, efficient eco-friendly approach for socio-economic, sustainable development of modern aquaculture practice. Phytotherapy either through dip or by incorporation into diets an alternative to synthetic pharmaceuticals diminish pathogenicity environmental pathogens. Due presence remarkable phytoconstituents like flavonoids, alkaloids, pigments, terpenoids, steroids essential oils, medicinal plant exhibits anti-microbial, appetite-stimulating, anti-stress, growth-promoting immunostimulatory activities. Aqua-industry preferred phytotherapy-based techniques/compounds develop resistance against variety pathogens culturable because they inexpensive environment-friendly. As result, this review elaborates on diverse applications phytotherapy promising tool management major step toward organic aquaculture.

Aquaculture is a fast-growing food sector but plagued by plethora of bacterial pathogens that infect fish. The rearing fish at high population densities in aquaculture facilities makes them highly susceptible to disease outbreaks, which can cause significant economic loss. Thus, immunity development through vaccination against various economically important species has been extensively studied and largely accepted as reliable method for preventing infections. Vaccination studies systems are strategically associated with the environmentally sustainable management production worldwide. Historically, most licensed vaccines have developed inactivated combined adjuvants provided via immersion or injection. In comparison, live simulate whole pathogenic illness elicit strong immune response, making better suited oral immersion-based therapy methods control diseases. Advanced approaches vaccine involve targeting specific components, including use recombinant genes proteins. Vaccines produced using these techniques, some currently commercially available, appear promote higher levels than conventional vaccines. These technological advancements promising developing processes aquatic species. this review, we explore multitude on undertaken last decade well recent advances aquaculture.

Aquaculture industry contributes significant aquaculture species production to meet fish protein demand from the world. The is gearing towards intensification increase more in near future. Various technologies and efforts were introduced into bring it up next higher level. However, development of hindered by disease constraint. As a result, excessive use antibiotics chemicals applied reduce or minimize risk outbreak farming activity. Subsequently, aquacultures products environment highly exposed these chemicals. To resolve this issue, farmers encouraged utilize alternative method health management. Prebiotics has become new approach maintain good at same time produce chemical antibiotic-free product. In review paper, we summarize discuss effects prebiotic mixtures administration on growth performance, immune response, resistance, tolerance against abiotic stressors aquatic animals.

Medicinal plants are increasingly used in aquaculture owing to their beneficial impacts on the health status of farmed fish. The current study was conducted investigate effect nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) extract growth, immunity, antioxidant parameters, and resistance common carp (Cyprinus carpio) against Aeromonas hydrophila. In addition, vitro antibacterial activity skin mucus fish fed evaluated three major pathogenic bacteria through standard disk diffusion method. Fish (17.27 ± 0.11 g) were divided into four groups experimental diets containing different levels extract, including zero (control), 0.5% (M1), 1% (M2), 2% (M3) per kg diet. Results showed that significantly enhanced growth parameters after a four-week feeding trial. Feed conversion ratio remarkably reduced with lowest value reported for M3 group, whereas weight gain notably increased M2 M3. No significant found hematological profile, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, hemoglobin, volume, hematocrit, while highest red blood cells white group. Stress biomarkers, glucose cortisol, Serum immunological higher M3, followed by M2, where also observed. samples effectively inhibited Streptococcus iniae, Yersinia ruckeri, Overall, present results suggest dietary (20 g/kg diet) could be as promotor immunostimulant carp.
