Abstract While public sector organizations continue to implement information and communication technologies (ICT), it is unclear what extent digitalization efforts influence the discretion of street‐level bureaucrats. Understanding relationship between ICT human an important consideration for managers overseeing technology implementation processes evaluating outcomes. This systematic literature review examines studies that explore use. The results show there are several mechanisms through which ICTs change discretion, such as removing face‐to‐face interactions, standardizing processes, enhancing top‐down monitoring, increasing exchanges, providing decision supports. Street‐level bureaucrats adopt various strategies resist ICT‐driven standardization, suggesting may alter workplace dynamics professional identities frontline workers. Artificial intelligence (AI) applications in public services are an emerging and crucial issue the modern world. Many countries utilize AI-enabled systems to serve citizens deliver services. Although AI can bring more efficiency responsiveness, this technology raises privacy social inequality concerns. From perspective of behavioral administration (BPA), citizens’ use depends on their perception technology. This study proposes a conceptual framework connecting perceptions, trust, intention follow instructions from government-supported recommendation system pandemic. Our launches online-based experimental survey analyzes data with partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM). The research findings suggest that algorithmic transparency increases trust recommendations, but concerns decrease when asks for sensitive information. Many welfare state services have rapidly become 'digital by default'. Electronic identification (e-ID) technology is needed for secure authentication with regard to digital services. This study uses socio-technical systems theory analyse the development and transfer of e-ID in context public-private partnerships (PPPs). Abstract An extensive literature has shown that the rules govern access to social safety net programs create undue administrative burdens for citizens in accessing programs. In this paper, we contribute by describing experience of older adults with one US program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Our study gathered data from a total 267 through interviews and focus groups. Many our respondents had recently experienced several financial, health, life crises which affected their ability seek information, memorize important details, plan adequately. The main finding is often multiple challenges whose effects tend amplify each other, affecting decision‐making abilities. findings suggest policies simplify eligibility processes, reduce amount paperwork, minimize number client‐caseworker encounters, have potential facilitate greater program access.

Purpose Digitalization is transforming public service delivery, potentially increasing efficiency and availability but risking excluding vulnerable people with weak digital skills. Despite technological advances, frontline professionals remain a crucial element of value creation, as many services require human interaction, even if it digitally mediated. This study surveys to capture their experiences assess whether encounters meet clients’ needs. Design/methodology/approach The dataset comprises 15 interviews assisting migrant clients. data were analysed using abductive thematic analysis, utilizing viewpoints about the divide from previous literature. Findings emphasizes three pivotal elements inherent in clients: (1) high administrative burden due competency, Finnish skills knowledge local system, (2) importance interpersonal trust (3) shifting pressurized role professional. How does internet use affect the sense of gain in older adults? A moderated mediation model DOI Creative Commons

In the context of digital era, Internet use is major significance for enhancing sense gain among elderly people and enabling them to share in development dividend society. Based on CGSS 2021 (N = 2,929), this study explores impact elderly, a moderated mediation model was constructed explore mediating role perceived social justice potential moderating status. The results showed that (1) general significantly enhanced elderly's gain. Among group, economic (ESG) enhanced, political (PSG) positively affected but not significantly, while security (SSG) negatively affected. (2) A equity plays older adults. (3) Social status does play latter half path model. Meanwhile, heterogeneity analysis revealed affects with low household incomes, high levels literacy, an urban registration, spouse. research conclusion article provides strong empirical support solving problem integration effectively their achievement.
