Abstract Since their structural elucidation in 1935, the introduction and substitution of functional groups modification steroidal scaffolds have been a fertile ground research for synthetic medicinal chemists. Metal contamination is a waste-generating and serious issue in the synthesis of chemicals, particular case products with biological activity. The appropriate selection operating conditions plays crucial role abatement metal leaching solution associated wastes. Herein we report waste-minimized continuous flow process for 1,4-disubstituted β-keto 1,2,3-triazoles exploiting use copper tube reactor (CTFR). proper azeotropic mixture allowed an almost quantitative recovery reaction medium greatly influencing E-factor protocol. A thorough understanding main parameters affecting waste generation was given by calculation distribution different work-up tested under batch conditions. Furthermore, measurement green metrics (AE: Atom Economy, SF: Stoichiometric Factor, RME: Reaction Mass Efficiency, MRP: Recover Parameter) clearly demonstrated benefits scale-up that to perform low environmental footprint CuAAC reaction.

Abstract The scale‐up of microreactor‐based flow chemical process represents a grand challenge in engineering. small characteristic size (<1000 μm) typical microreactor leads to not only microscale effect (process intensification) but also low throughput. Here, we report macro‐microreactor achieve liquid–liquid operation with intensification. By incorporating the designed internals based on computational fluid dynamics, is expanded into 3000–4000 μm. optimized design helical‐shaped internal exhibits both similar or even stronger and high throughput contrast microreactor. For process, seven times higher mass transfer coefficient about half reduction pressure drop are realized. These macro‐microreactors would find further applications industrial manufacturing.

16β-Methylcorticoids are among the most important glucocorticoid steroids for treatment of various dermatological disorders, respiratory infections, and other allergic reactions elicited during inflammatory responses human body.
