Urban cemeteries are increasingly surrounded by areas of high residential density as urbanization continues world-wide. With increasing rates mortality caused the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, urban vertical experiencing interments at an unprecedented rate. Governments and the food industry make major efforts to ensure safety throughout global supply chain support availability. Experiences with Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have re-emphasized need for preparedness in many sectors, including sector. This position paper analyzes potential introduction transmission of pandemic viruses via hypothesizes which new issues could arise. Two scenarios, a gastrointestinal virus respiratory virus, were explored. Possible risks economic costs transmission, regulatory analytical needs, control strategies associated such scenarios are described. Overall, if was occur, our is currently lacking given potentially limited knowledge pathways, as well access methods detect viral presence infectivity model pathogens, even though societal impact scenario likely extensive. The fomite component be easily neglected or underestimated future pandemic. On other hand, better tools prove lack transmissibility also prevent unnecessary losses across In event foodborne testing would provide clear purpose deviating batches, obtain monitoring data, assess compliance hygiene criteria; however, providing complete through enforcement criteria demonstrated economically unfeasible; therefore, interventions will needed. These messages important business operators governments understand possible opportunities, caveats testing. Narrowing gaps on improvement feasibility required benefit against emergence spread pathogens.

The novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, has the potential to cause natural ventilation systems in hospital environments be rendered inadequate, not only for workers but also people who transit through these even a limited duration. Studies of fields geosciences and engineering, when combined with appropriate technologies, allow possibility reducing impacts SARS-CoV-2 virus environment, including those hospitals which are critical centers healthcare. In this work, we build parametric 3D models assess possible circulation system built care infected patients during COVID-19 pandemic. Building Information Modeling (BIM) was performed, generating utilizing Revit software Autodesk CFD 2021. evaluation considered dimensional analyses 0°, 45°, 90° 180°. analysis patterns on both internal external surfaces distribution windows relation displacement dynamics air were considered. results showed that area hospital, wind speed reached velocities up 2.1 m/s entering building open windows. contact furniture, value decreased 0.78 m/s. some isolation wards house COVID-19, areas should equipped negative room pressure, velocity null. Our study provides insights into contamination as well surrounding hospitals, encounter high pedestrian traffic cities worldwide.
