Citrus flower and fruit drop is a big global issue, its organic management extremely difficult. plants older than fifteen years exhibited higher rates of according to the study's results. Additionally, diameters carbohydrate content fallen fruits were less those retained fruits. It was found that boron restricting factor in plant soil, causing citrus drop. According inferences, applying seaweed sap treatments on monthly basis will improve Sikkim mandarin rough lemon's morphological, physiological, biochemical characteristics while also increasing their market value. The treatment 10% AN (Ascophyllum nodosum) have significantly highest post-bloom set, KA (Kappaphycus alvarezii) +75% recommended dose nutrient (RDON) total soluble solids, GE (Gracilaria edulis) RDON pre-harvest set. When sprayed both species, abscission-inducing genes CitSAUR06, CitSAUR08, CitSAUR44, CitSAUR61, CitSAUR64 are down-regulated. can be concluded that, use several topically had notable impact species' net return, productivity, economic efficiency.

The aim of this work was to develop and characterize nanocomposite thin films containing silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), as wound dressings antifungal materials, using a green process for the nanoparticles' synthesis single step procedure preparation films. To end, polyphenol-rich extracts obtained from kiwi peels, an agri-food industrial by-product, were used reducing agent nitrate salt. AgNPs let form within film-forming solution, which composed by low acyl gellan gum plasticizing (glycerol or PEG 400 g/mol) corresponding deposited solvent casting technique. affected distribution films, observed SEM EDS analyses, consequently their tensile behaviour. In specific, act stress intensifiers in presence glycerol, whereas they film reinforcement with PEG400. However, both glycerol-plasticized PEG400-plasticized exhibited similar efficacy against 16 clinical isolates 5 different Candida spp (C. albicans, C. lusitaniae, haemulonii, krusei glabrata). Globally, present study provides single-step embedding situ reduction ions extracts.

Fucus spp. seaweeds thrive in the cold temperate waters of northern hemisphere, specifically littoral and sublittoral regions along rocky shorelines. Moreover, they are known to be a rich source bioactive compounds. This study explored valorization spiralis through extraction bioactives polysaccharides (PSs) for food applications biostimulant use. The were extracted using microwave hydrodiffusion gravity (MHG), where condition 300 W 20 min resulted highest total phenolic content antioxidant activity extract. Cellular assays confirmed that extract, at 0.5 mg/mL, was non-cytotoxic HaCat cells. Polysaccharides from remaining biomass. residue this second contained 1.5% protein 13.35% carbohydrates. Additionally, free amino acids minerals profiles both solid residues determined. An edible film formulated alginate (2%), PS-rich extract (0.5%), F. bioactive-rich (0.25%). demonstrated significant properties, with ABTS DPPH values 221.460 ± 10.389 186.889 36.062 µM TE/mg film, respectively. It also exhibited notable physical characteristics, including high water vapor permeability (11.15 1.55 g.mm.m−2.day−1.kPa−1) 100% solubility. extractions (BS) effects on seed germination seedling growth. BSs PSs enhanced pea by 48%, while without increased root dry weight rice tomato 53% up 176%, respectively, as well shoot 38% 74%, These findings underscore potential within framework circular economy, wherein post-extraction by-products can used sustainable agriculture applications.

Land use change (LUC) is a key factor affecting nutrient budgets in agricultural soils. Comparing the long-term trajectories of and changes soils at regional scale with contrasting LUC critical to optimizing management minimizing adverse environmental effects. We investigated two counties south Loess Plateau, China, LUCs from 1992 2017. Wugong County has cereals as main crop, whereas Meixian cereal crops changed kiwi orchards. found that nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) inputs increased rapidly, outputs by crop harvests remained relatively stable. This resulted increasing surpluses counties. Nutrient surplus orchard-dominated county was higher than cereal-dominated county, efficiencies were contrasting. High N high nitrate-N accumulation deeper soil profiles P K significantly available 0-20 cm depth. Soil which also threshold values contents conclude comprehensive measures should be taken control surpluses, will help balance minimize losses intensive horticultural systems.

The expanding global need for sustainable farming methods has fuelled research on plant-based alternatives to traditional plant growth regulators. Traditional PGRs, while effective, can offer environmental and health hazards due their synthetic composition the possibility of residual contamination. Therefore, there's an increase in curiosity employing natural extracts as environmentally beneficial eco-friendly alternative. Plant generated from various botanical sources contain a diverse array bioactive chemicals such phytohormones, phenolics, flavonoids, alkaloids, which influence development. Extracts plants seaweed, moringa, neem, example, have shown promise terms raising germination rates, improving root architecture, increasing stress resistance. These work by mimicking or altering action hormones like auxins, gibberellins, cytokinin, abscisic acid. Furthermore, they provide additional benefits antibacterial capabilities, lower occurrence diseases, antioxidant activities, improve tolerance stressors. hold significant offering solution enhance productivity. While challenges remain standardization large-scale application, continued innovation could unlock full potential, contributing more agricultural practices improved health.
