Abstract Leveraging digital technology, the platform economy, characterized by data-driven dynamics, support, and network coordination, is continuously transforming labor market structure. It has demonstrated a notable impact on poverty reduction. Utilizing mixed cross-sectional data from China General Social Survey (CGSS), this study constructs comprehensive index system to measure development of economy through entropy method. Fintech is driving the revolution of finance and profoundly affecting development financial sector. However, few studies examined how commercial banks’ fintech innovation affects total factor productivity (TFP). To build up index banks, we use web crawler technology to accumulate news related banks in Baidu news. We panel data 72 China from 2010 2020 explore impacts mechanisms on TFP. The results show that effectively improves TFP after a series robustness tests. Further, find can improve by promoting innovations products, increasing risk control capability, reducing cost, improving profit. Also, utility more significant with assets, facilities, human capital, which means creates “bigger better” mindset. Meanwhile, result quantile regression shows higher innovation, increase TFP, further reveals there ‘too big fail’ among under digitalization.

ABSTRACT Entrepreneurship is a vital source of high‐quality employment in China and crucial advancing Chinese‐style modernization. Using panel data from 281 prefecture‐level cities 2003 to 2021, this study employs difference‐in‐differences double machine learning models examine the impact Belt Road Initiative (BRI) on entrepreneurship. The research findings are as follows: BRI implementation significantly enhances entrepreneurship at city provincial levels, with results remaining robust across various tests. promotes through industrial innovation, digital trade development, economic agglomeration. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that BRI's positive effects more pronounced small medium‐sized central western regions. Furthermore, exhibits significant spatial spillover effects, stimulating neighboring cities. initiative also effectively reduces relative disparities regions, particularly between eastern, central, areas, thus promoting coordinated regional development. Additionally, triple‐difference indicate urban innovation mainly concentrated manufacturing sectors such energy, equipment, information technology. The implementation of rural entrepreneurship emerges as a pivotal pathway for fostering economic growth. However, unsustainable entrepreneurial endeavors have posed notable ecological threats and environmental degradation. Drawing upon the triple bottom line framework, this research devised comprehensive evaluation system sustainable entrepreneurship, spanning four dimensions: entrepreneurs, economic, social, aspects. Employing fuzzy Decision-Making Trial Evaluation Laboratory (DANP) approach, we delineated intricate causal relationships among influencing factors identified key determinants along with their respective weights. Our findings underscore prominence dimensions in entrepreneurship.
