Currently
available
intraocular
lenses
(IOLs)
on
the
market
often
differ
significantly
in
elastic
modulus
compared
to
natural
human
lens,
which
impairs
their
ability
respond
effectively
tension
of
ciliary
muscles
for
focal
adjustment
after
implantation.
In
this
study,
we
synthesized
a
polyacrylamide–sodium
acrylate
hydrogel
(PAH)
through
cross-linking
polymerization
acrylamide
and
sodium
acrylate.
This
possesses
excellent
biocompatibility
exhibits
several
favorable
properties.
Notably,
demonstrates
high
transparency
(94%)
refractive
index
(1.41
±
0.07)
that
closely
matches
lens
(1.42).
Additionally,
it
shows
strong
compressive
strength
(14.00
kPa),
good
extensibility
(1400%),
an
appropriate
swelling
ratio
(50
2.5%).
Crucially,
tensile
is
2.07
kPa,
aligns
with
(1.70–2.10
enabling
continuous
under
exerted
by
muscles.

Abstract
Recent
advancements
in
biomedical
applications
have
highlighted
the
need
for
nontoxic
and
organic
materials
with
versatile
capabilities.
Silver
nanoparticles
(AgNPs)
emerged
as
a
promising
antimicrobial
agent
due
to
their
exceptional
physicochemical
properties,
whereas
hydrogels
offer
potential
biomedicine
biocompatibility,
biodegradability,
hydrophilicity.
AgNPs‐infused
hydrogel
can
synergistic
approach
various
applications,
specifically
wound
healing,
drug
delivery,
coatings.
The
incorporation
of
AgNPs
into
enhances
making
them
ideal
reducing
infections
promoting
tissue
regeneration.
Furthermore,
serve
controlled‐release
systems
therapeutic
agents,
which
ensures
sustained
targeted
delivery.
Most
importantly,
this
type
system
offers
pathway
overcoming
challenges
posed
by
traditional
materials.
While
significant
advantages
such
cytotoxicity,
environmental
concerns,
long‐term
effects
require
further
investigation.
Overall,
review
comprehensively
explores
synthesis
methods,
associated
hydrogel.
