A Smart Circular Supply Chain (SCSC) integrates both Industry 4.0 (I4.0) and Economy (CE) concepts into supply chain in response to achieving sustainable goals/agenda. Purpose To examine the interplay between sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) and circular economy, this research conceptualises empirically tests an integrative framework of environmental information exchange with suppliers (ES), product design (EPD) cost performance (CP) contingency effect digital orientation (DO). The associations proposed in provide a configuration SSCM practices that support economy's restorative processes age. Design/methodology/approach resource orchestration theory are used to investigate mediation moderating effects, which were tested by moderated analysis survey data 100 firms Australia. Findings results show EPD fully mediates relationship ES CP. Further, DO was found moderate CP, but not EPD.
