Abstract Fluorescent molecular probes have gained significant attention due to their exceptional attributes, such as enhanced specificity, sensitivity, and reversibility. This review explores how organic probe molecules' fluorescence properties change when metal ions like Hg 2+ bind the receptors. The alteration in results from distinct photophysical mechanisms photoinduced electron transfer, proton energy charge excimer formation, aggregation‐induced emission, C═N isomerization etc. Besides, induce chemical reactions resulting changes structural conformation properties. As a result, this effect specifically affects signal of molecules, which is beneficial for advancing sensor technology developed detect contamination. Focusing on environmental pollution biological sample analysis, study highlights applying fluorescent techniques using chromophores heavy ions, particularly ions. Abstract A “turn‐on” fluorescent sensing strategy was developed for ultrasensitive detection of heavy metal mercury ion (Hg 2+ ) directly in water. It utilized an aqueous soluble aggregation‐induced emission (AIE)‐active probe, named 1,1,2,2‐tetrakis(4‐(1H‐tetrazol‐5‐yl)phenyl)ethene (TPE‐4TA), composing a luminescent tetraphenylene core and multiple anionic tetrazolate spawns. The probe retained dark when molecularly dissolved However, ions can ligate with groups to form infinite coordination polymer particles spontaneously, thus inducing fluorogenic AIE response situ analysis. Moreover, by embedding this molecules hydrophilic polyvinyl alcohol substrate, the resulting hydrogel film allowed Hg on laser‐induced fluorescence analysis setup environment. Abstract The chromium adsorption behavior from aqueous solution by the amphoteric Janus nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (AJ–N–CQDs) was investigated. pseudo-first-order and second-order kinetics models were employed to analyze experimental data; model presented a better correlation data, suggesting chemisorptions process. values obtained in are still suitable for describing Kinetics of Cr(VI) sorption.
