Time perspective, which refers to a mechanism of automatically assigning experiences into temporal categories (as past, present, and future), is argued be fundamental dimension in the construction psychological time addition acting as vulnerability factor for disorders. Negative urgency another disorders that are characterized by engaging impulsive actions when one under influence negative emotions. The current study aimed examine how interaction different dimensions perspective connected with anxiety depression. Data were gathered from 404 (255 women) individuals between ages 18 65 through measures urgency, anxiety, results showed while past was associated depression, similar pattern not observed other perspective. Particularly, appeared boost impact being past-oriented. Similarly, only future indicating tending focus on events likely take place elevated levels high urgency.

People with severe mental illness (SMI), such as schizophrenia, have higher rates of physical long-term conditions (LTCs), poorer health outcomes, and shorter life expectancy compared the general population. Previous research exploring SMI diabetes highlights that people experience barriers to self-management, a key component care in conditions; however, this has not been investigated context other LTCs. The aim study was explore lived co-existing LTCs for service users, carers, healthcare professionals.A qualitative LTCs, their professionals, using semi-structured interviews, focused observations, focus groups across UK. Abstract Aim Time is a core aspect of psychopathology with potential for clinical use and early intervention. Temporal experience, perception, judgement processing are distorted in various psychiatric disorders such as mood (depression mania), anxiety, autistic, impulse‐control, dissociative attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorders. Can these time be used diagnostic or predictive markers? To answer this question, we develop Transdiagnostic Taxonomy (disordered) (TTT) that maps on to the symptomatological, phenomenal, perceptual functional descriptions each underlying disorder 2 × state space. distortions may precede decline, so assist efforts at detection intervention at‐risk groups. Method Firstly, article integrates psychological model how processed subjective phenomenological experienced perceived. Secondly, integrated combined then heuristically map major basic elements temporal flow integration. Results The TTT systematically describes nature eight categories illness. It differentiates between diagnoses primarily associated “macro‐level” phenomenal experiences (i.e. dissociation/PTSD, depression, mania) from those related ‘micro‐level’ psychotic, autistic disorders). Conclusions allows differential classification terms possible disorder, making it useful future purposes using novel techniques processing, passage time, perspective.

Well-being has been shown to improve with age, but underlying mechanisms are unclear. We tested a conceptual model that posited age-related increases in present time orientation foster greater dispositional mindfulness and savoring the moment, these psychological processes pathways link older age better well-being. U.S. adults (N = 797, M 45.57 years, SD 15.07, range: 20–88) completed an online, self-report survey of their perspective, mindfulness, hedonic eudaimonic Using structural equation modeling, our was good fit data. Older associated orientation, which both ultimately related Mindfulness interventions may be beneficial for promoting moment subsequently, However, longitudinal studies needed establish temporal associations.

Depression rates are significantly higher in high-altitude regions, making it important to understand its underlying mechanisms. Time perspective, which refers how individuals perceive their past, present, and future, is closely linked depression low-altitude areas. However, relationship with regions remains unclear. A cross-sectional survey was conducted 4942 young male workers from regions. The association between time perspectives depressive symptoms were examined by univariate multivariate analyses. Network analysis employed identify central interactions, compare the differences without depression. study identified that elevated past negative (PN), reduced positive (PP), increased present fatalistic (PF) hedonistic (PH) orientations, lower future (F) significant risk factors for plateau populations. In network structure of group, PN, PF, PH, SDS18 "emptiness", SDS13 "psychomotor agitation" key elements influencing strongest edge F-PP. Significant detected non-depressive groups, group demonstrating greater global strength invariance a more robust invariance. Abnormal perspectives, especially PF PH strongly associated environments, strong connection F-PP provides potential intervention target. Future research should further explore causal relationship.

Introduction Prior research indicates that depressive symptoms in unselected or sub-clinical samples are associated with time perspective biases, including a more negative view of the past and fatalistic attitude toward present. In current study, we compared profiles for clinical sample, depression diagnosis control group. Additionally, considered measure known as deviations from balanced (DBTP) capture across frames, not previous studies. A second obejctive was to test model involving DPTP mediator links between cognitive fusion self-compassion symptoms. Method total, 300 individuals participated 150 participants without diagnoses. All filled questions regarding background variables together Polish adaptations ZTPI, CFQ, SCS-S, DASS-21 using web-survey. Results The results showed significantly higher scores on Past Negative Present Fatalistic sample. line hypothesis group also displayed elevated DBTP ( d = 0.75), difference remained significant when were adjusted for. structural equation modeling moreover indicate major role (which, expected, strongly DBTP) predicting symptom burden, regardless clinical/non-clinical distinction, but. Still, accounted (unique) variance By contrast, inclusion eliminated association Conclusion Taken together, levels DBTP/fusion persons is present burden. Thus, could be regarded risk factor developing depression. Prospective designs needed further evaluate associations main constructs this study extent which they predictive future changes level.
