Abstract Background COVID-19 vaccination is vital for ending the pandemic but concerns about its safety among pregnant and postpartum women, especially African American (AA) Hispanic persist. This study aims to explore factors that influence decision-making AA women through women’s experiences maternal care providers’ (MCPs) observations. Methods From January August 2022, we conducted semi-structured interviews with MCPs. Participants were recruited from obstetric pediatric clinics in South Carolina, all births took place after March 2020. Thematic analysis was employed data analysis. Results The involved 19 20 along 9 MCPs, revealed both barriers facilitators vaccination. decision vaccine uptake included: 1) awareness of health threats associated vaccines, 2) availability accessibility, 3) vaccine-related knowledge exposure misinformation, 4) regarding pre-existing conditions potential side effects 5) emotional processes, 6) well-being infants, 7) cultural perspectives, 8) encouragement by trusted supporters. Conclusion Findings suggest reliable information, social support, doctors’ advice can motivate However, such as mistrust system, fears related impede women. Objective To examine the influence of postpartum exercise on maternal depression and anxiety. Design Systematic review with random effects meta-analysis meta-regression. Data sources Online databases up to 12 January 2024, reference lists, recommended studies hand searches. Eligibility criteria Randomised controlled trials (RCTs) non-randomised interventions any publication date or language were included if they contained information Population (postpartum people), Intervention (subjective objective measures frequency, intensity, duration, volume, type, mode delivery exercise), Comparator (no different measures), Outcome depression, anxiety prevalence, and/or symptom severity). Results A total 35 (n=4072) included. Moderate certainty evidence from RCTs showed that exercise-only reduced severity depressive symptoms (19 RCTs, n=1778, SMD: −0.52, 95% CI −0.80 –0.24, I 2 =86%, moderate effect size) (2 n=513, −0.25, −0.43 −0.08, =0%, small size), odds by 45% (4 n=303 OR 0.55, 0.32 0.95, =0%) compared no exercise. No assessed impact achieve at least a reduction in symptoms, individuals needed accumulate 350 MET-min/week (eg, 80 min intensity such as brisk walking, water aerobics, stationary cycling resistance training). Introduction In the present study, shared and distinct effects of two novel prenatal intervention protocols implemented during last trimester gestation on perinatal maternal wellbeing outcomes were explored. Methods A total 250 pregnant women at 28 weeks randomly assigned to either a Passive relaxation-based Protocol or an Active involving active engagement in various motor activities music listening. Anxiety depression symptoms attachment foetus/infant assessed through self-report questionnaires before (t0) after (t1) protocol, as well 1.5 months postpartum (t2). Qualitative data participants’ emotional experiences while performing collected weekly diaries, together with adherence protocol amount prescribed activities. Results Group-level analyses showed that both associated improvements anxiety extended period, different picture emerged for symptoms. Analyses diaries revealed more nuanced picture, showing that, within each group, and/or modulated by No differences between groups found terms considered, but number relaxation sessions positively predicted newborns’ gestational age. Discussion These findings offer valuable insights into mechanisms underlying passive versus interventions, point importance tailoring strategies based individual preferences stage.
