BACKGROUND The pursuit of sleep quality has become an important aspect people’s global quest for overall health. However, the objective neurobiological features corresponding to subjective perceptions remain poorly understood. Although previous studies have investigated relationship between electroencephalogram (EEG) and sleep, lack longitudinal follow-up raises doubts about reproducibility their findings. OBJECTIVE Currently, there is a gap in research regarding stable associations EEG data assessed through multiple collection sessions, which could help identify potential targets related quality. METHODS In this study, we used portable device collect resting-state prefrontal cortex over 3-month period from 42 participants (27 first month, 25 second 40 third month). Each participants’ was using Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) estimate recent RESULTS We found that significant consistent positive correlation low α band activity PSQI scores (<i>r</i>=0.45, <i>P</i>&lt;.001). More importantly, remained across all recordings (<i>P</i>&lt;.05), regardless whether considered same cohort or expanded sample size. Furthermore, discovered periodic component primarily contributed association with PSQI. CONCLUSIONS These findings represent identification reliable target sessions. ABSTRACT Background Anesthesia is featured by behavioral and physiological characteristics such as decreased sensory motor function, loss of consciousness, etc. Some anesthetics dexmedetomidine (DEX), induce electroencephalogram signatures close to non‐rapid eye movement sleep. Studies have shown that sleep primarily driven the activation subcortical sleep‐promoting neural pathways. Aims However, neuronal level electrophysiology features anesthesia how they differ from still not fully understood. Materials Methods In present study, we recorded activity simultaneously somatosensory cortex (S1) (M1) during awake, sleep, DEX‐induced in rats. Results The results show DEX increased local field potential (LFP) power across a relatively wide band (1–25 Hz) both S1 M1. coherence between LFP M1 significantly delta alpha bands. Power spectrum analysis revealed high bands, but low theta beta Overall, firing rate individual neurons after DEX. Correlation indicate more were correlated, either positively or negatively, with LFPs compared Discussion Although these showed enhancement cortical different patterns spike‐field correlation suggest two states may be regulated mechanisms. Conclusion Distinguishing oscillations could lead personalized, safer, effective approaches managing consciousness medical settings, for broad applications neuroscience clinical practice.

Beta-band activity in the sensorimotor cortex is considered a potential biomarker for evaluating motor functions. The intricate connection between brain and muscle (corticomuscular coherence), especially beta band, was found to be modulated by multiple demands. This coherence also showed abnormality motion-related disorders. However, although there has been substantial accumulation of experimental evidence, neural mechanisms underlie corticomuscular coupling band are not yet fully clear, some still matter controversy. In this review, we summarized findings on impact conditions (sports, exercise training, injury recovery, human functional restoration, neurodegenerative diseases, age-related changes, cognitive functions, pain fatigue, clinical applications), pointed out several future directions scientific questions currently unsolved. conclusion, an in-depth study only elucidates control but offers new insights methodologies diagnosis treatment rehabilitation related Understanding these can lead personalized neuromodulation strategies real-time neurofeedback systems, optimizing interventions based individual neurophysiological profiles. approach significantly improve therapeutic outcomes athletic performance addressing unique needs each individual.

Alpha oscillations are associated with various psychiatric disorders, many studies focusing on the prefrontal cortex, where transcranial alternating current stimulation (TACS) is applied in alpha frequency band. This approach often involves selecting individualized frequencies to resonate their endogenous oscillations. While strong (8–13 Hz) typically induced when eyes closed, they can also occur during resting state open. However, it remains unclear whether these share a common neural generation mechanism. Exploring which of more suitable as stable peak question significant interest. Therefore, systematically study this issue, we specifically collected resting-state electroencephalographic (EEG) data from region 40 individuals, under both eyes-open and closed- eye conditions, multiple follow-ups extending up nine months. Through spectral analysis each person's entire dataset averaging results, observed positive correlation between alpha-band power eyes-closed states, terms absolute relative power. Further revealed that was primarily contributed by periodic activity within Upon modelling oscillatory components, discovered distinct differences characteristics-such number sub-oscillations state. Abstract Romantic relationships are integral to human experience, with most individuals encountering them at some point in their lives. The neural mechanisms of romantic have gradually gained attention. However, existing studies mainly focused on the cross-sectional level, and longitudinal research is not sufficient, especially regarding early stages when couples first enter a relationship. brain's transition from normal state honeymoon phase love remains poorly understood. To answer this question, we, authors, used ourselves as subjects; after confirming our relationship, we employed portable electroencephalography (EEG) record activity prefrontal cortex during resting states (both eyes open closed). Data collection occurred irregularly over period around two months, resulting 13 EEG data trials per individual. We found that there was consistent decrease high alpha band under closed-eye for both us two-month period, suggesting potential correlation changes stage Further analysis revealed driven by periodic components rather than non-periodic components. This study reveal significant change oscillatory couple initial months which will further impact understanding mechanism sub-oscillations application emotions process.
