The emergence of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) at beginning 2020, considered a public health emergency due to its high transmission rate and lack specific treatment, led many countries adhere social isolation. Although necessary, isolation causes important psychological changes, negatively affecting population, including older population. aim this study is propose 4-week, home-based physical exercise protocol for people in evaluate whether will promote positive changes variables such as anxiety, mood, depression, stress, sleep, quality life, capacities adults. sample be selected probabilistic way from individuals aged 60 years or more city Itajaí (Santa Catarina, Brazil). Of these, half perform resistance training protocol, with 3 weekly sessions, 4 consecutive weeks. For group allocation, patients randomized computer-generated 1:1 allocation (PE) control group. Outcomes depressive symptoms, sleep quality, mood states, functional capacity, evaluated baseline, after weeks, 15 days follow-up. Abstract Background Many studies have explored the relationship between self-esteem and quality of life. Background and Study Aim. The elderly represent a growing age group an integral part of modern society. aging process introduces significant health challenges, making exercise essential component in maintaining quality life well-being among the elderly. This study reviews impact physical interventions on cognitive functions population. Material Methods. search for this was conducted using ScienceDirect PubMed databases. strategy employed combination keywords ("Elderly Physical Exercise" AND "Physical Exercise Intervention" "Elderly Fitness Cognitive" Cognitive Functions" Benefits" Prevalence"). adhered to PRISMA guidelines. Initially, 1,854 publications were identified through database searches (ScienceDirect: 981 articles; PubMed: 873 articles). After applying exclusion criteria, only 11 articles remained. Results.
