The concept of circular economy (CE) has emerged as an effective strategy for addressing resource depletion, waste generation, and environmental challenges, offering a promising path towards more sustainable future. In the building sector, adopting CE principles can significantly mitigate impacts, minimize lifecycle costs, promote sustainability throughout building’s lifecycle. Using mixed-method approach via pre-interview questionnaire semi-structured interviews with 10 experts, this study analyses significance 15 strategies in construction projects, assessing their importance ranking potential adoption. Furthermore, evaluates feasibility applying to different types, including storage, industrial, commercial, residential, business, healthcare facilities. role stages initiation planning, design, procurement, construction, operation maintenance, end life is examined identify phases highest successfully embracing principles. stakeholders driving change also analyzed. outcomes reveal that most feasible include use renewable energy, design durability longevity, prefabrication, offsite construction. findings indicate business (office) buildings are application, while planning identified critical Owners designers emerge greatest influence on implementation. results provide comprehensive overview adoption sector. Supplier selection is one of the most important multi-criteria problems in supply chain management (SCM). Most existing decision-making frameworks for selecting suppliers construction industry have given priority to criteria such as cost, delivery, and quality. However, due current emphasis on achieving sustainability reducing environmental impact, organizations are increasingly embracing circular economy (CE) principles. In this study, thereby, we proposed an integrated multiple-criteria (MCDM) framework, which comprised a fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (FAHP) preference ranking organization method enrichment evaluations II (PROMETHEE II) supplier from perspective countries with emerging economies. FAHP was used first identify weight each criterion sub-criteria, PROMETHEE rank best worst. Results showed that on-time conformance specifications, rejection rate top three selection. Additionally, included pollution control initiatives, green packaging, responses toward regulations standards. The result approach has been compared another MCDM method, namely weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS) validated accuracy efficiency approach. Through implementation selection, research expected reinforce model, can help managers sector improve their overall business.

The circular economy plays a central role in Europe's new agenda for sustainable economic growth. Using Eurostat and United Nations data from 28 European countries pertaining to the years between 2011 2017 we identified two underlying dimensions of — environmental degradation resource efficiency. Then, using dynamic panel models assessed impact that investment, human capital, innovation, previous circularity levels have on each dimension identified, comparing their impacts both. Our substantive findings demonstrate innovation investment significantly reduce degradation, whereas only is also significant promoting Furthermore, our study suggests an inter-annual dependence.
