Purpose
This
study
relies
on
the
lessons
learned
from
recent
pandemic
crisis
to
propose
a
conceptual
framework
for
organizational
management
and
illustrate
its
application
in
an
organization
that
effectively
protected
competitive
position
during
crisis.
Design/methodology/approach
Building
upon
resource-based
view
dynamic
capability
theoretical
framework,
we
first
conducted
systematic
literature
review
involves

bibliographic
analysis.
Subsequently,

Brazil.
Findings

Introduction:
Climate
change
presents
significant
risks
for
businesses,
particularly
in
emerging
markets
such
as
Mexico,
where
perceptions
of
sustainability
are
still
evolving.
This
study
aims
to
examine
how
carbon
emissions
influence
the
cost
equity
capital
(COE)
publicly
listed
companies
Mexico.
Methodology:
The
analysis
is
based
on
data
from
32
over
period
2018-2022
(N
=
148
observations).
A
panel
regression
model
was
employed
assess
relationship
between
intensity
and
COE,
while
controlling
key
financial
variables.
Additionally,
a
Random
Forest
applied
evaluate
relative
importance

COE.
Results:
Findings
indicate
positive
capital.

this
effect
weakens
during
periods

COVID-19
pandemic,
