To
explore
the
different
paths
of
regional
digital
transformation
in
China
and
understand
its
development
mechanism,
this
paper
employs
Fuzzy-set
Qualitative
Comparative
Analysis
(fsQCA)
method.
It
examines
21
prefectural-level
cities
(or
municipalities)
with
national
high-tech
zones
China's
Yangtze
River
Delta
(YRD)
region
using
relevant
data
from
2022.
The
study
investigates
two
aspects:
labour
factor
element,
based
on
six
measures.
finds
that,
firstly,
none
single
antecedents
is
necessary
for
a
high
level
transformation,
but
multi-factorial
synergies
can
help
achieve
transformation.
Secondly,
after
group
analysis,
there
are
five
configurations
to
high-level
which
divided
into
four
according
characteristics
core
variables,
namely,
‘talent
development’
path,
‘digitalisation
diversified
economic
base’
‘public
orientation’
‘education
life
integration’
factor-oriented’
path
path.
Thirdly,
robustness
grouping
tested
by
changing
consistency
threshold,
still
stable,
indicating
that
results
reliable.
Unlike
existing
econometric
studies
focus
impact
factor,
reveals
multi-factor
driving
mechanism
multi-path
perspective.
This
provides
new
perspectives
methods
theoretical
as
well
more
targeted
basis
policymaking.

In
the
context
of
digital
economy,
empowering
firm
innovation
investment
through
transformation
is
an
important
strategy
for
promoting
development
in
China.
This
study
investigates
effects
and
mechanisms
on
from
perspective
total
factor
productivity,
using
a
sample
manufacturing
companies
listed
A-share
market
China
2012
to
2021.
The
following
three
main
findings
were
obtained.
First,
results
both
fixed-
random-effects
regression
methods
revealed
that
significantly
promotes
firms'
investment.
conclusion
remains
robust
after
controlling
endogeneity
issues
instrumental
variable
method
replacing
explanatory
measurement
methods.
Second,
stepwise
analysis
negative
mediating
mechanism
productivity
(TFP)
impact
level
reason
this
improvement
TFP
intensifies
competition
capital
labor
input
between
production
departments.
Third,
group
heterogeneity
found
overall
effect
positive
groups
with
low
financing
constraints
high
human
capital,
but
not
significant
capital.
Moreover,
valid
all
groups,
further
validating
departments
input.
Based
governance
by
Chinese
government,
policy
recommendations
are
proposed
empower
transformation.

The
advancement
of
the
big
data
industry
is
playing
a
pivotal
role
in
urban
land
management
refinement.
Recently,
China
initiated
strategy,
establishing
national
comprehensive
pilot
zones
(NBDCPZs)
across
diverse
regions.
These
initiatives
present
substantial
opportunities
for
enhancing
green
use
efficiency
(ULGUE).
Consequently,
this
study,
we
utilized
super-efficiency
slack-based
measure
(SBM)
model
with
undesirable
outputs
to
assess
ULGUEs
281
prefecture-level
cities
from
2006
2021.
Subsequently,
leveraging
NBDCPZ
establishment
as
quasi-natural
experiment,
employed
difference-in-differences
(DID)
method
empirically
explore
impact
policy
on
ULGUE
first
time.
findings
revealed
following:
(1)
implementation
significantly
enhances
ULGUE;
(2)
effects
are
mediated
through
mechanisms
such
fostering
technological
innovation,
mitigating
resource
misallocation,
and
promoting
industrial
agglomeration;
(3)
heterogeneity
analysis
emphasizes
increased
effectiveness
characterized
by
fewer
natural
resources,
lower
economic
growth
pressures,
stable
development
stages,
moderate
digital
infrastructure
human
capital
levels;
(4)
further
demonstrates
significant
positive
spillover
neighboring
non-pilot
cities,
diminishing
proximity
between
decreases.
Overall,
study
contributes
literature
relationship
economy
utilization,
offering
valuable
insights
achieving
sustainable
development.

This
study
investigates
the
impact
of
China's
Digital
Economic
Policy
(DEP)
on
industries'
green
innovation.
It
contributes
to
existing
literature
technology
policy
evaluation
by
challenging
assumption
that
this
is
similar
across
different
industries.
To
achieve
this,
a
conceptual
framework
proposed,
highlighting
asymmetric
influence
DEP
By
analysing
panel
data
from
35
Chinese
industrial
subsectors,
including
15
heavily
polluting
industries
(HPIs)
and
20
non-HPIs,
between
2010
2020,
reveals
implementation
results
in
significantly
higher
levels
innovation
HPIs
as
opposed
non-HPIs.
The
DEP's
positive
primarily
facilitated
through
structure
upgrading.
Moreover,
finds
has
greater
effect
with
lower
state-owned
ratio,
total
factor
productivity
or
capital
dependence.
