The imbalance in the “production–living–ecology” function (PLEF) has become a major issue for global cities due to rapid advancement of urbanization and industrialization worldwide. realization PLEF coupling coordination is crucial region’s sustainable development. Existing research defined concept from perspective land measured its level using relevant models. However, there still room improvement indicator system, methods, other aspects. This work builds evaluation-index system based on human habitat multi-source data order examine spatial differences influencing factors Yellow River Basin (YRB). Using modified model, Moran index, Markov chain geographically weighted random forest model were introduced analyze temporal differentiation factors. results found that (a) YRB 2010 2022 been improving, number severely imbalanced reduced 23 15, but downstream cities’ significantly higher than upstream cities. probability maintaining their own greater 50%, basically no cross-level transfer. This study empirically examines the influence of tourism development, renewable energy and green finance (GF) on high-quality economic development. Using data from 33 years in China 1990 to 2022, this applies Gregory Hansen analysis investigate relationships between development (TD), (RE), finance, (HQED), accepts a Spatial auto regressive. demonstrates that plays crucial role promoting growth by positively impacting all three its components. Moreover, utilization further enhances beneficial promotion superior (EG), while also correlation foreign direct investment (FDI) growth. Our suggests policy recommendations for policymakers based these findings. Assessing the performance level of human settlement improvement in traditional villages is significant promoting protection villages, but there a lack research on from perspective corporate governance previous studies. This paper selected 16 as case and obtained total 345 questionnaires. By reference to Balanced Scorecard (BSC) theory, evaluation index system for constructed this paper. In addition, exhibited by evaluated analyzed via entropy weight Technique Order Preference Similarity Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method obstacle degree analysis method. study reveals following findings: (1) The Jiaozuo city ranges between 0.28 0.64, with an average value 0.49, thus indicating medium level. (2) With respect subdimensions performance, policy management dimension (0.88) exhibits highest value, followed villagers (0.48) learning growth (0.27), while financial benefits (0.10) lowest value. The conservation and sustainable development of traditional villages have raised global attention in the context rapid urbanization modernization. Taking 703 Hunan Province as an example, this study first constructed a Traditional Village Human Settlement Suitability (TVHSS) evaluation system based on Pressure-State-Response (PSR) model. Then, entropy weighting method was used to assess spatiotemporal evolution TVHSS from 2005 2020, while Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) model employed analyze influencing factors. results indicate that overall score increased 0.521 0.776 with spatial distribution characterized by lower suitability northwest higher southeast. During period, pressure subsystem experienced increase, peaking at 0.058 2015 before declining 0.055 2020. Meanwhile, state remained relatively stable, scores slightly decreasing 0.040 0.033 In contrast, response showed continuous upward trend, rising 0.430 0.688 distance educational institutions, degree relief, water, intangible cultural heritage sites highest effects TVHSS. These findings provide scientific basis for offer replicable analytical framework similar contexts globally. By addressing complex interactions between environmental, social, economic factors, contributes discourse rural sustainability, offering insights can inform policy-making guide preservation face modernization pressures.
