In recent years, increasing attention of researchers has been paid to the role melatonin in regulation body weight. When analyzing literature data, problem mechanism action on and its use correction metabolic disorders is considered. Disruption circadian rhythms caused by artificial light at night leads decreased secretion. This helps increase appetite reduce energy costs. addition, plays a major modulating secretion adipokines influencing lipid metabolism. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between triglyceride–glucose (TyG) index, its combination with body roundness index (BRI), and chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) based on a cross-sectional analysis conducted Eastern China. Background: Obesity affects 33.2% of the adult population in Bulgaria, and there is a scarcity information about affected individuals’ attitudes toward their weight situation. The aim this study was to explore perceptions obesity adults. Methods: present involved questionnaire-based survey that utilized home-based tablet-assisted face-to-face interviews. Interviewees comprised individuals aged 25–64 y/o with BMI > 25.0 kg/m2. Results: Overall, 704 respondents participated (344 overweight; 360 obese). Over 50% participants reported attempts reduce weight, only 6% overweight group 16% obese perceiving condition as worrisome. One-third considered state temporary. main cause for alarm overweight/obese worsening overall physical males an increase clothes size females. need urgent reduction body noted by 12% 40% respondents. reasons being were collated lack activity (noted 52% participants), sedentary lifestyle (51%), stress/depression (41%), excessive consumption carbohydrates (34%), general overconsumption food (33%), poor quality products (28%). Chronic kidney disease awareness: a cross-sectional study in primary care settings in Türkiye DOI Creative Commons

Abstract Background Raising awareness of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is essential for early detection and prevention, since the condition remains largely underdiagnosed, particularly in primary care settings. The present study aimed to evaluate levels regarding causes symptoms CKD among individuals receiving care. Methods This cross-sectional included 457 participants recruited from two centers Türkiye using systematic random sampling. data were collected via face-to-face interviews a pre-tested questionnaire between April June 2023. Awareness classified Bloom’s cutoff points–high (≥ 80%), moderate (60–79%), low (< 60%). Results mean age was 42.3 ± 14.9 years. population consisted 55.4% women, 51.2% aged 18–39, 74.6% married, 53.4% held at least university bachelor’s degree. As awareness, 64.1% aware that can be caused by pain medication, 56% it hypertension, 48.8% result diabetes. Additionally, 58.6% swelling feet ankles represent symptom CKD. 78.6% our (n = 359), 17.5% ( n 80) high 3.9% 18). Individuals who recalled having been informed about these their physicians exhibited higher awareness. No significant differences observed across different sociodemographic groups. A positive correlation its symptoms. Conclusions limited, nearly half being unaware key risk factors such as painkiller use, obesity, smoking, diabetes, herbal product use.
