The continuous increase in the world population, combined with rapid degradation of arable land, has put a strain on agricultural production. excessive use conventional fertilizers leads to environmental issues associated loss nutrients through leaching, volatilization, denitrification, and surface runoff. The purpose of this manuscript is to present a review laboratory experiments (including methodology and results) that use biochar, specific carbon obtained by pyrolysis process from different feedstocks, as an alternative material for heavy metal adsorption groundwater.
