The
interaction
between
microplastics
(MPs)
and
pollutants
is
crucial
for
assessing
the
environmental
risk
of
MPs.
It
necessary
to
pay
attention
adsorption/desorption

on
MPs
due
their
potential
role
in
antibiotic
resistance.
When
MPs-loaded
are
ingested
by
organisms,
they
enter
gastrointestinal

Existing

widespread
use
of
plastic
products
in
daily
life
has
raised
concerns
about
the
health
hazards
associated
with
nanoplastics
(NPs).
When
exposed,
NPs
are
likely
to
infiltrate
bloodstream,
interact
plasma
proteins,
and
trigger
macrophage
recognition
clearance.
In
this
study,
we
focused
on
establishing
a
correlation
between
unique
protein
coronal
signatures
high-density
(HDPE)
low-density
(LDPE)
polyethylene
(PE)
their
ultimate
impact
cytotoxicity.
We
observed
that
lipoprotein
receptors
(LDLR
SR-B1),
facilitated
by
apolipoproteins,
played
an
essential
role
PE-NP
recognition.
Consequently,
PE-NPs
activated
caspase-3/GSDME
pathway
ultimately
led
pyroptosis.
Advanced
imaging
techniques,
including
label-free
scattered
light
confocal
cryo-soft
X-ray
transmission
microscopy
3D-tomographic
reconstruction
(nano-CT),
provided
powerful
insights
into
visualizing
NPs–cell
interactions.
These
findings
underscore
potential
risks
