Abstract Probiotics, postbiotics, and n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) have antidepressant-like effects. However, the underlying mechanisms of dopaminergic pathway are unclear. The present study investigated hypothesis that probiotics postbiotics combined with PUFA synergistically improve depression by modulating through brain-gut axis. Rats were randomly divided into seven groups: non-chronic mild stress (CMS) n-6 PUFA, CMS probiotics, PUFA. improved depressive behaviors, decreased blood concentrations corticosterone, interferon-γ, interleukin-1β, increased brain gut short chain dopamine. Moreover, expression glucocorticoid receptor, tyrosine hydroxylase, occludin; l-type amino acid transporter 1 dopamine receptor (DR) D1; DRD2. phosphorylated protein kinase A/protein A cAMP response element-binding protein/cAMP in brain, however, supplementation There was synergistic effect on behaviors blood, gut. no significant difference pathways between observed. In conclusion, effects axis rats exposed to CMS.

Observational studies have shown that the gut microbiome is associated with frailty. However, whether these associations underlie causal effects remains unknown. Thus, this study aimed to assess genetic correlation and relationships between genetically predicted frailty using linkage disequilibrium score regression (LDSC) Mendelian Randomization (MR). Summary statistics for were obtained from a genome-wide association (GWAS) meta-analysis of MiBioGen consortium (N = 18,340). GWAS meta-analysis, including UK Biobank TwinGene 175,226). We used LDSC MR analyses estimate causality Our findings indicate suggestive Christensenellaceae R-7 Moreover, we found evidence twelve genus-level microbes on at least two methods. There was no horizontal pleiotropy or heterogeneity in analysis. This provides potential several More population-based observational animal experiments are required clarify underlying mechanisms.

Chronic pain is commonly linked with diminished working memory. This study explores the impact of anesthetic (S)-ketamine on spatial memory in a chronic constriction injury (CCI) mouse model, focusing gut microbiome. We found that multiple doses (S)-ketamine, unlike single dose, counteracted reduced spontaneous alteration percentage (%SA) Y-maze test, without affecting mechanical or thermal sensitivity. Additionally, repeated treatments improved abnormal composition microbiome (β-diversity), as indicated by fecal 16S rRNA analysis, and increased levels butyrate, key – brain axis mediator. Protein analysis showed these also corrected upregulated histone deacetylase 2 (HDAC2) downregulated brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) hippocampi CCI mice. Remarkably, microbiota transplantation from mice treated repeatedly to restored %SA hippocampal BDNF Butyrate supplementation alone %SA, BDNF, HDAC2 Furthermore, TrkB receptor antagonist ANA-12 negated beneficial effects impairment These results indicate administration ameliorates mice, mediated axis, primarily through enhancement signaling butyrate.

Abstract Multi-generational asexual reproduction of Gastrodia elata Bl. will cause seedling species degeneration. Sexual seed is an effective method to solve the problem The development seeds cannot be separated from germination fungus. However, there are few strains fungus in production, and also degradation application for many years. It very important sexual isolate more new excellent origin. This study used f. glauca S. chow vegetative propagation corms capture its symbiotic fungus, comprehensively identified by colony morphology, ITS, sporocarps regeneration function, compared growth characteristics ability with other ( Mycena purpureofusca , dendrobii osmundicola ). was isolated named GYGL-1. After comprehensive identification, GYGL-1 Mycetinis scorodonius . Compared has fast speed, vigorous growth, high seeds. Innovated isolation obtained regenerated discovered that a function germinating seeds, enriching resource library

ABSTRACT Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a prevalent inflammatory bowel disease associated with abnormal immune responses to commensal bacteria. The study investigated the effects of synbiotic yacon juice fermented by Lactiplantibacillus plantarum QS7T (FYJ) on ameliorating UC and modulating gut microbiota in dextran sodium sulfate (DSS)‐induced mouse model. FYJ intervention significantly improved body weight colon length, reduced activity index histopathological scores, effectively alleviated tissue damage compared treatments L. suspension or alone. Additionally, DSS‐induced led significant decrease occludin mRNA expression an upregulation genes encoding pro‐inflammatory cytokines, which were normalized treatment. These accompanied inhibition TLR4/MyD88/NF‐κB signaling pathway. Moreover, treatment reversed alternations community beta diversity composition. In conclusion, could reduce intestinal mucosal inflammation, repair colonic mucosa, improve physiological status mice, possibly through regulation pathway Practical Application restores imbalance thereby preserving immunity barrier integrity. insights derived from this are expected provide novel perspective potential application as functional food agent for treating UC.
