Carbon peaking, carbon neutrality goals and food security are the basis of sustainable development, exploring coordination relationship between China’s agricultural eco-efficiency system has a major significance for implementation relevant strategies. This paper is based on collaboration research synergistic systems using methods such as entropy weight method, coupling model, spatial autocorrelation etc., revealing evolution-driven mechanism degree. study found that higher level always occurs in those areas with high standard farmland construction large grain production scale, while economically developed appear to have lower overall limited by endowment constraints division labor development planning. It shows positive correlation terms geographical distance security, spillover effect gradually increases but not strong overall. The development of the Yellow River Basin (YRB) has been constrained by resource utilization, ecological conservation, and economic growth. aim this study was to establish a theoretical framework for characterizing relationships among resources, economy, ecology in YRB using panel data remote sensing from nine provinces basin 2002 2022. Furthermore, coupling coordination degree model geographical detector were used evaluate spatiotemporal relevant factors. Our findings manifold. (1) its improved varying degrees, with upstream showing stronger than midstream downstream provinces. (2) most significant growth rates observed during 2002–2006 2014–2018. The coordinated development of urban competitiveness (UC) and green total factor productivity (GTFP) is paramount for achieving global sustainable objectives, especially regional sustainability in China. This study utilizes panel data from 2011 to 2019 encompassing 273 Chinese cities evaluate the index employing projection pursuit method. research categorizes into four regions—East, Central, West, Northeast—for comparative analysis purposes. findings unveil: (1) a discernible rise both overall coordination between China; (2) throughout period, except fluctuations observed Northeastern China, other regions sustained relative stability, manifesting trend divergence-convergence; (3) across all demonstrated β-convergence, with Central China exhibiting swiftest convergence slowest; (4) taking account factors such as government intervention, industrial structure, human capital, there likelihood that growth rate diverse will converge towards synergistic trend. Therefore, strive enhance productivity, governmental attention should be directed discerning developmental trends influencing affecting their coordination.
