Abstract Aging and cancer exhibit apparent links that we will examine in this review. The null hypothesis aging coincide because both are driven by time, irrespective of the precise causes, can be confronted with idea share common mechanistic grounds referred to as ‘hallmarks’. Indeed, several hallmarks also contribute carcinogenesis tumor progression, but some molecular cellular characteristics may reduce probability developing lethal cancer, perhaps explaining why very old age (> 90 years) is accompanied a reduced incidence neoplastic diseases. We discuss possibility process itself causes meaning time-dependent degradation supracellular functions accompanies produces byproduct or ‘age-associated disease’. Conversely, its treatment erode health drive process, has dramatically been documented for survivors diagnosed during childhood, adolescence, young adulthood. conclude connected superior including endogenous lifestyle factors, well bidirectional crosstalk, together render not only risk factor an important parameter must considered therapeutic decisions.

Aging, a universal and inevitable process, is characterized by progressive accumulation of physiological alterations functional decline over time, leading to increased vulnerability diseases ultimately mortality as age advances. Lifestyle factors, notably physical activity (PA) exercise, significantly modulate aging phenotypes. Physical exercise can prevent or ameliorate lifestyle-related diseases, extend health span, enhance function, reduce the burden non-communicable chronic including cardiometabolic disease, cancer, musculoskeletal neurological conditions, respiratory well premature mortality. influences cellular molecular drivers biological aging, slowing rates-a foundational aspect geroscience. Thus, PA serves both preventive medicine therapeutic agent in pathological states. Sub-optimal levels correlate with disease prevalence populations. Structured prescriptions should therefore be customized monitored like any other medical treatment, considering dose-response relationships specific adaptations necessary for intended outcomes. Current guidelines recommend multifaceted regimen that includes aerobic, resistance, balance, flexibility training through structured incidental (integrated lifestyle) activities. Tailored programs have proven effective helping older adults maintain their capacities, extending enhancing quality life. Particularly important are anabolic exercises, such Progressive resistance (PRT), which indispensable maintaining improving capacity adults, particularly those frailty, sarcopenia osteoporosis, hospitalized residential aged care. Doxorubicin is an effective chemotherapeutic agent, but its use limited by acute and chronic cardiotoxicity. Exercise training has been shown to protect against doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity, the involvement of immune cells remains unclear. This study aimed investigate role exercise-derived B in protecting cardiotoxicity further determine whether cell activation antibody secretion play a this protection.

Sepsis-induced acute liver injury (SALI) is a prevalent and life-threatening complication associated with sepsis. The gut microbiota plays crucial role in the maintenance of health development diseases. impact physical exercise on modulation has been well-documented. However, potential microbiome training-induced protection against SALI remains uncertain. Here, we discovered training ameliorated systemic inflammation septic mice. Notably, pre-depletion abolished protective effects Fecal transplantation treatment revealed that training-associated contributed to beneficial effect SALI. Exercise modulated metabolism Ligilactobacillus enriched betulinic acid (BA) levels Functionally, BA conferred by inhibiting hepatic inflammatory response bound inactivated hnRNPA2B1, thus suppressing NLRP3 inflammasome activation macrophages. Collectively, this study reveals involved SALI, microbiota-derived inhibits via hnRNPA2B1-NLRP3 axis, providing therapeutic strategy for Sepsis characterized dysregulated immune an infection leads multiple organ dysfunction. occurrence frequently observed during initial stage sepsis directly linked mortality intensive care unit. preventive well recognized, yet underlying mechanism poorly elucidated. alters mice, increasing abundance promoting generation BA. Abstract Background Frailty has become an important health problem in the middle-aged and older people population. Physical activity (PA) is a key intervention for frailty prevention management. However, studies of association between COVID-19 pre-pandemic PA worsening or improvement during pandemic remain unclear. Methods This longitudinal cohort study used data from English Longitudinal Study Ageing (ELSA), including participants aged 50 over. Three intensities (vigorous, moderate, mild) were categorized as less than once per week at least week, respectively, based on participant self-report. The index (FI) assessed status, defining FI ≥ 25. Logistic regression was applied to examine frailty, estimating odds ratios (OR) 95% confidence intervals (95% CI). Results Of 4379 non-frail baseline (median age 67, 54.9% female), 8.1% developed mean follow-up 3.5 years. Among 564 frail 71, 66.5% 17.9% regained health. Compared those engaging who engaged vigorous (OR: 0.47 [95% CI: 0.35–0.62]), moderate 0.37 0.29–0.48]), mild 0.38 0.26–0.56]) had lower risk worsening. Additionally, 2.04 1.29–3.21]) 2.93 1.54–5.58]) higher likelihood improvement. Sensitivity analyses comprehensive levels confirmed these findings. Participants maintained one (Vigorous, OR: 0.20 [95%CI: 0.12–0.33]; Moderate, 0.13 0.09–0.19]; Mild, 0.11–0.38]) rates (Moderate, 3.43 1.93–6.11]; 4.65 1.90-11.42]). In addition, individuals 0.35 0.20–0.60]; 0.36 0.22–0.56]) transitioned inactive active also exhibited frailty. Conclusions emphasized critical role preventing improving people, especially pandemic. The eight biological hallmarks of health that we initially postulated (Cell. 2021 Jan 7;184(1):33-63) include features spatial compartmentalization (integrity barriers, containment local perturbations), maintenance homeostasis over time (recycling & turnover, integration circuitries, rhythmic oscillations) and an array adequate responses to stress (homeostatic resilience, hormetic regulation, repair regeneration). These affect all somatic strata the human body (molecules, organelles, cells, supracellular units, organs, organ systems, systemic circuitries meta-organism). Here postulate mental socioeconomic factors must be added this 8×8 matrix as additional hallmark (“psychosocial adaptation”) stratum interactions”), hence building a 9×9 matrix. Background: Technology-based exercise programs have the potential to reduce chronic disease prevalence and obesity-related risks. This research focuses on impact of both traditional virtual health metrics corporate employees. Methods: The study involved 30 employees (16 females, average age ± SD = 37.8 8.8 years) from Nigeria, who were divided into two experimental groups (one experiencing exercises with an on-site trainer, other participating in live, classes via Zoom) a control group continuing usual practices. 6-week intervention measured several outcomes, including resting heart rate, blood pressure (both diastolic systolic), body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, waist-hip ratio, before after intervention. Results: One-way analysis covariance yielded significantly greater decreases pressure, F(2,27) 3.7, p < 0.04; systolic 3.5, 0.04, index, F(2,26) 7.8, 0.01, 39.1, 0.01. Conclusions: concludes that virtual-based are as effective ones. Offering option provides flexibility, potentially increasing adherence routines among workers.
