Despite technology-based systems being considered promising tools to stimulate and increase physical function at home, most older adults are unfamiliar with technology, which may pose some difficulties. Technology-related parameters, such as adherence, acceptance, acceptability, crucial achieving higher efficacy levels of home-based exercise interventions delivered by technology. In this scoping review, we aimed revise the use technological improve in population, focusing on user's experience perspective. Methods: This review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines. The search April 2022 updated 2023. A total 45 studies were included review. Results: Most (95.5%) met technology usage defined research team or reported satisfactory levels. Positive health-related outcomes 80% studies. Although existence guidelines correctly define measures associated use, including acceptance terms still used interchangeably. Some concerns related lack an international consensus regarding exclusion who did not own have previous a large percentage limited results obtained. Conclusions: Altogether, through positive adults, satisfactory. Older willing able autonomously if adequate support is provided.

The motoric cognitive risk syndrome (MCR) is a novel and clinically relevant pre-dementia indicating higher dementia (e.g., for Alzheimer's disease). Given that MCR prevalence unknown in Germany, we conducted cross-sectional study, which 208 participants from Germany aged 50 82 years answered an online survey including questions to assess subjective (sMCR). adjusted sMCR was 25.3%. Adults with reported more diseases showed negative associations physical activity, sedentary behavior, sleep, suggesting lifestyle modifications can play significant role prevention. Further research required complement our preliminary findings on Germany.

Background : Promoting physical activity (PA) among children is critical for their overall health and development. Despite the availability of various interventions, adherence to structured PA programs remains a challenge, particularly in home settings. The Interrupting Prolonged Sitting with Activity (InPACT) at Home program was designed address this issue by offering flexible accessible means engage regular PA. However, understanding factors that influence such interventions essential optimizing effectiveness. Purpose To examine InPACT intervention potential barriers facilitators. Methods A sequential mixed methods design used. Children ages 7–12 years engaged 20-day where they were asked complete three, 8-min videos, 5 days per week. Informed Consolidated Framework Implementation Science Research 2.0 framework, individual characteristics, inner setting characteristics assessed via interviews. Results On average, participants 2.2 out three exercise videos day. Twenty-one 88 (23.9%) completed all videos. Individual including parent support design/compatibility identified as Intervention adaptability, structural compatibility environment barriers. Conclusions This study suggests that, on accumulated 12–16 additional minutes daily through program. implementation strategies may be needed enhance adherence.

Objective: Black populations are disproportionately affected by hypertension and less likely to engage in blood pressure-lowering activities, such as exercise, compared non-Hispanic White populations. There is a lack of theory-informed approaches understand how individual environmental racial disparities impact exercise participation among individuals with hypertension. The I-Change Model, an integrated behavior change framework, combines concepts from social health psychology explain the interaction between awareness, motivation, action adopting maintaining behaviors. This study aims apply augmented version Model enhance our understanding participation. Methods: Individuals self-reported doctor-diagnosed ( N = 370), comprising n 142) 228) adults who were recruited via online recruitment platform, completed survey validated theoretical constructs at baseline 4 weeks. Structural equation modeling race set group variable was used compare model path effects. Results: Among both races, intention enacted behavior, whereas psychological barriers reduced likelihood engaging behavior. However, notable participants included (e.g., safety, accessibility gym) that hindered affective attitudes did not facilitate intention. Conclusions: An promotion program fosters determinants creates accessible, supportive environment would equitable opportunities for Additional recommendations designing provided.

This paper introduces a novel concept for Home-based Monitoring (HM) that enables robust analysis and understanding of activities towards improved caring safety. Spatio-Temporal Visual Learning HM (STVL-HM) is method learns from sensor data jointly represented in space time order to robustify the process. We propose hybrid model based on Convolution Neural Network (CNN) Transformers. The CNN first visual spatial features various data. learned are then fed into transformer, which captures temporal information by observing status at timestamps. STVL-HM has been tested using Kinetics-400, real use case human activity recognition scenario results reveal clear superiority compared recent baseline solutions.

ABSTRACT Aim To explore frail older adults' preferences and needs regarding mobile health (mHealth) exercise interventions in China. Additionally, it sought to identify the nudge strategies necessary for initiating sustaining behaviours among adults. Design A qualitative study. Method The semi‐structured interviews were conducted between April May 2024 from two communities Changsha, data analysed using a deductive framework analysis aligned theory, an inductive thematic gather relevant preferences. Results This study involved 14 participants with pre‐frailty or frailty, aged 60–82 years (median age of 64 years). While generally receptive new technologies, lower levels literacy competing priorities often hindered their participation. Three primary functionality requirements as follows. (1) Profession engagement: tailored prescription, professional timely feedback guidance; (2) personalised knowledge encompassing pain management, successful cases inspiration; (3) beneficial, tailored, dynamic, fragmented, challenging courses. Participants showed positive attitudes towards simplification nudges, gamification social trustworthy reminder economic nudges pre‐commitment nudges. Addressing privacy concerns was essential build trust acceptance Conclusion These findings emphasised importance designing mHealth that address specific while incorporating effective promote engagement adherence. Future researchers should wearables, ChatGPT language models, virtual coaching assistants, snack further optimise experience analyse effects Implication and/or Patient Care Exercise systems app development adults meet three basic strategies. During the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns and social distancing measures drove shift from in-person to online physical exercise classes, leading individuals explore these digital alternatives. Guided by Expectation-Confirmation Model, this article examines older adults’ intentions continue using classes. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 17 adults aged 65 who had participated in classes during pandemic. Transcripts subject thematic analysis NVivo software program. The results indicate that recognize usefulness of because their ability enhance health well-being. Their initial expectations surpassed, they generally satisfied experience. However, remained preferred due enhanced benefits. They also felt adoption was involuntary; instead an autonomous decision guided needs preferences, a viable solution imposed lockdown. Therefore, continuance are limited specific conditions, namely new lockdown or other impediments. Still, considering flexibility offer, accommodating time constraints, participants highlighted advantages hybrid approach for those may face challenges attending Based on findings, proposes ECM provides relevant, yet insufficient, framework explaining suggesting inclusion additional factors: perceived non-technological alternatives, necessary self-determination.
