Abstract Endocrine disruptors (EDs), such as Bisphenols (BPs) and Perfluoroalkyls (PFs), are a class of plastic pollutants widely used in industrial applications. Human exposure to these molecules usually occurs through ingestion contaminated food water. Once entered the human body they can interfere with endogenous hormone signaling, leading wide spectrum diseases. It has been reported that BPs PFs cross placental barrier accumulating fetal serum, but detrimental consequences for development remain be clarified. Here we analyze effects different doses bisphenol A S (BPA, BPS) perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) on proliferation mitochondrial health types stem cells: an integrated approach combines data from pluripotent cells (hiPSCs) “environment” which embryo develops (fetal annexes-derived perinatal cells) verified potential developmental toxicity utero EDs exposure. Data obtained showed overall, BPs, tended increase rate cells; similar response was observed hiPSCs exposed very low PFs, while at higher concentrations chemicals were toxic; addition, both exerted mitotoxic all concentration studied. All suggest antenatal also concentrations, may modify biological characteristics present developing fetus annexes, thus perturbing normal development.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is an endocrine-disrupting chemical (EDC) and one of the most produced synthetic compounds worldwide. BPA can be found in epoxy resins polycarbonate plastics, which are frequently used food storage baby bottles. However, bind mainly to estrogen receptors, interfering with various neurologic functions, its use a topic significant concern. Nonetheless, neurotoxicity has not been fully understood despite numerous investigations on disruptive effects. Therefore, this review aims highlight recent studies implications system. Our findings suggest that exposure impairs structural molecular brain changes, promoting oxidative stress, changing expression levels several crucial genes proteins, destructive effects neurotransmitters, excitotoxicity neuroinflammation, damaged blood-brain barrier function, neuronal damage, apoptosis effects, disruption intracellular Ca

Being an essential component in the plastics industry, phthalates are ubiquitous environment and everyday life. They considered environmental contaminants that have been classified as endocrine-disrupting compounds. Despite di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) being most common plasticizer studied to date, there many others that, addition widely used plastic, also applied medical pharmaceutical industries cosmetics. Due their wide use, easily absorbed by human body where they can disrupt endocrine system binding molecular targets interfering with hormonal homeostasis. Thus, exposure has implicated development of several diseases different age groups. Collecting information from recent available literature, this review aims relate phthalates’ cardiovascular throughout all ages. Overall, studies presented demonstrated association between diseases, either prenatal or postnatal exposure, affecting foetuses, infants, children, young older adults. However, mechanisms underlying these effects remain poorly explored. considering incidence worldwide constant phthalates, topic should be extensively understand involved.

Currently, the plastic monomer and plasticizer bisphenol A (BPA) is one of most widely used chemicals. BPA present in polycarbonate plastics epoxy resins, commonly food storage industrial or medical products. However, use this synthetic compound a growing concern, as an endocrine-disrupting can bind mainly to estrogen receptors, interfering with different functions at cardiovascular level. Several studies have investigated disruptive effects BPA; however, its cardiotoxicity remains unclear. Therefore, review’s purpose address recent on implications system. Our findings suggest that impairs cardiac excitability through intracellular mechanisms, involving inhibition main ion channels, changes Ca2+ handling, induction oxidative stress, epigenetic modifications. data support exposure increases risk developing diseases (CVDs) including atherosclerosis factors such hypertension diabetes. Furthermore, also particularly harmful pregnancy, promoting development hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. In summary, compromises human health, progression CVDs factors. Further are needed clarify health BPA-induced cardiotoxicity.

Endocrine disruptor chemicals (EDCs) can have a harmful effect on the human body’s endocrine system and thus adversely affect development, reproduction, neurological, cardiovascular, immune systems metabolism in humans wildlife. According to World Health Organization, EDCs are mostly man-made found ubiquitously our daily lives, notably pesticides, metals, additives or contaminants food personal care products. Human exposure occurs through ingestion, inhalation, dermal contact. Bisphenol A (BPA) is proven EDC capable of mimicking blocking receptors altering hormone concentrations metabolism. Although consumed low doses, it stimulate cellular responses functions. In humans, BPA has been correlated with onset development several diseases. This literature review aimed verify effects male infertility using most recently published literature. Thus, this allowed us conclude that compound seems fertility, causing changes hormonal semen characteristics. However, these conclusions lack more robust reproducible scientific studies. Even so, since prevalence increasing, preventive measures must be taken ensure fertility.

Bisphenol A (BPA) is a very important chemical from the commercial perspective. Many useful products are made it, so its production increasing day by day. It widely known that and analogs present in environment they enter our body through various routes on daily basis as we use things of this lives. BPA has already been reported to be an endocrine disruptor. Studies have shown binds strongly human estrogen-related receptor gamma (ERRγ) target it. This study seeks understand how it interacts with ERRγ. Molecular docking ERRγ was performed, estradiol taken reference. Then, physico-chemical toxicological analysis compounds performed. Subsequently, dynamic behavior ERRγ-BPA compound complexes studied molecular dynamics simulations over 500 ns, using simulated data, their binding energies were again calculated MM-PBSA method. We observed affinity much higher than estradiol, apart being toxic, can easily absorbed physicochemical properties similar those oral medicines. Therefore, facilitates understanding structure–activity relationship provides information about key amino acid residues interact compounds, which helpful design competitive inhibitors interrupt interaction In addition, will also developing new therapeutics.

Phthalates (PAEs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are frequently detected in females of reproductive age. Many studies have found that environmental PAE PAH levels independent risk factors for gestational hypertension. However, exposure to both components is a more realistic scenario. To better assess the health effects PAEs PAHs pregnant women, we explored associations individual combined with This nested case-control study was component prospective cohort conducted Beijing, China. Bisphenol A (BPA) is a ubiquitous chemical compound constantly being released into the environment, making it one of most persistent endocrine-disrupting (EDC) in nature. This EDC has already been associated with developing various pathologies, such as diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular, renal, behavioral complications, among others. Therefore, over years, BPA replaced, gradually, by its analog compounds. However, these compounds are structurally similar to BPA, so, recent questions have raised concerning their safety for human health. Numerous investigations performed determine effects substitutes may cause, particularly during pregnancy prenatal life. On other hand, studies investigating association development cardiovascular diseases (CVD) developed. In this sense, review summarizes existing literature on transgenerational transfer consequent maternal offspring health following exposure. addition, compounds’ system susceptibility develop CVD will be presented. aims highlight need investigate further benefits, or hazards, replacing analogs.
