Abstract
Microemulsion
gels
(MGs)
are
nanostructured
systems
created
by
the
addition
of
thickening
agents/biopolymers
to
a
microemulsion's
aqueous
or
oily
phases,
offering
benefits
like
improved
solubilization,
enhanced
stability,
high
encapsulation
efficiency,
and
sustained
release
with
versatile
applications
in
food,
pharmaceuticals,
cosmetology.
MGs
intricate
thermodynamic
robustness
controllable
rheological
characteristics
crucial
for
obtaining
structural
integrity
achieving
innovative
results
regarding
food
product
development
diverse
areas
including
colloidal
carriers,
packaging,
active
compound
delivery,
antimicrobial
vectors,
production
biopolymer
nanoparticles.
Therefore,
comprehensive
analysis,
hence
understanding
about
MG
systems,
is
needed
identify
trends
gaps,
helping
researchers
promising
innovation
providing
direction
future
research.

Background/Objectives:
Skin
wrinkles
result
from
a
myriad
of
multifaceted
processes
involving
intrinsic
and
extrinsic
aging.
To
combat
this
effect,
plant
stem
cells
offer
renewable
eco-friendly
source
for
various
industries,
including
cosmeceuticals.
Salvia
miltiorrhiza
(SM),
which
contains
the
bioactive
compound
Rosmarinic
acid
(RA)
has
been
proposed
its
anti-wrinkle
effect.
Methods:
In
present
study,
calli
SM
were
cultured
Quality
by
Design
(QbD)
was
implemented
to
investigate
effect
different
types
concentrations
elicitors;
jasmonic
(JA)
salicylic
(SA).
Both
raised
RA
levels
yet,
(50
µM)
resulted
in
highest
yield
RA,
at
16
mg/g.
A
nanofiber
patch
prepared
characterized
in-vitro
release
percentage,
drug
content,
swelling
degree,
scanning
electron
microscope,
surface
roughness.
Then,
tested
UV
wrinkle-induced
mouse
model.
Results:
Interestingly,
after
treatment,
there
visibly
fewer
wrinkles,
skin
softer
than
untreated
control
group.
This
study
suggests
that
treatment
exerted
through
Nrf2/Keap1
pathway,
plays
crucial
role
cellular
antioxidant
protective
processes.
By
activating
pathway
boosting
Nrf2
diminishing
Keap1
enhances
production
enzymes,
such
as
superoxide
dismutase
glutathione
peroxidase,
enhancesglutathione,
reduces
lipid
peroxidation,
collectively
indicating
enhanced
quality.
Conclusions:
conclusion,
highlights
importance
formula
an
future
clinical
studies
are
recommended
further
unveil
potential
formula.
