Rib fracture-related infection is a challenging complication of thoracic trauma due to the difficulty treating it with antibiotics alone and need for second operation remove infected fixator sterilize surrounding tissue. In this study, inspired by photocatalytic performance ion release from silver-based materials, including Ag3PO4 Ag2S, hybrid Ag3PO4-Ag2S heterojunction was prepared based on in situ anion exchange one-step calcination process design nonantibiotic coating aimed at preventing rib short-term 808 nm near-infrared irradiation. Calcination 250 °C enhanced inductive effect phosphate radical led formation tight nanoheterogeneous interface between thereby promoting interfacial electron transfer reducing recombination photogenerated carriers. The result improved photodynamic coating. Moreover, metal-Ag3PO4-Ag2S had significant photothermal released only small amount Ag+. synergy endowed high antibacterial efficacy, eliminating 99.90 ± 0.05 99.95 0.03% Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli, respectively, after 15 min NIR irradiation vitro, 99.66 0.13% vivo. This biocompatible exhibited superb efficacy associated inflammation.
