Magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have been studied for diagnostic purposes decades. Their high surface-to-volume ratio, dispersibility, ability to interact with various molecules and superparamagnetic properties are at the core of what makes MNPs so promising. They applied in a multitude areas medicine, particularly Resonance Imaging (MRI). Iron oxide (IONPs) most well-accepted based on their excellent low toxicity. Nevertheless, IONPs facing many challenges that make entry into market difficult. To overcome these challenges, research has focused developing better safety profiles enhanced magnetic properties. One important strategy includes doping (particularly IONPs) other metallic elements, such as cobalt (Co) manganese (Mn), reduce iron (Fe) content released body resulting creation multimodal unique Another approach development using metals besides Fe, possess great or imaging The future this field seems be production which can used multipurpose platforms combine different uses MRI techniques design more effective complete tests.

Worldwide nanotechnology development and application have fueled many scientific advances, but technophilic expectations technophobic demands must be counterbalanced in parallel. Some of the burning issues today are following: (1) Where is nano today? (2) How good communication investment networks between academia/research governments? (3) Is there any spotlight for nanotechnology? Nanomedicine a particular arm within healthcare landscape, focused on diagnosis, treatment, monitoring emerging (such as coronavirus disease 2019, COVID-19) contemporary (including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, cancer) diseases. However, it may only represent bright side coin. In fact, recent past, concept nanotoxicology has emerged to address dark shadows nanomedicine. The nanomedicine field requires more nanotoxicological studies identify undesirable effects guarantee safety. Here, we provide an overall perspective central pieces giant puzzle nanotechnology. First, impact education research highlighted, followed by market trends output tendencies. next section, dilemma addressed through interplay silico, vitro, vivo models with support omics microfluidic approaches. Lastly, reflection regulatory clinical trials provided. Finally, some conclusions future perspectives proposed clearer safer translation nanomedicines from bench bedside.

Infectious virus outbreaks pose a significant challenge to public healthcare systems. Early and accurate diagnosis is critical prevent the spread of virus, especially when no specific vaccine or effective medicine available. In clinics, most commonly used viral detection methods are molecular techniques that involve measurement nucleic acids proteins biomarkers. However, clinic-based require complex infrastructure expensive equipment, which not suitable for low-resource settings. Over past years, smartphone-based point-of-care testing (POCT) has rapidly emerged as potential alternative laboratory-based clinical diagnosis. This review summarizes latest development detection. First, POCT-based diagnostic compared, both rely on immunosensing acid Then, various POCT techniques, including optical biosensors, electrochemical other types biosensors discussed. Moreover, this covers diagnostics viruses COVID-19, Ebola, influenza, Zika, HIV, et al. Finally, prospects challenges It believed will aid researchers better understand current achieving ultimate goal containing disease-causing worldwide.

The introduction of point-of-care testing (POCT) has revolutionized medical by allowing for simple tests to be conducted near the patient's care point, rather than being confined a laboratory. This been especially beneficial developing countries with limited infrastructure, where often involves sending specimens off-site and waiting hours or days results. However, development POCT devices challenging, simplicity, accuracy, cost-effectiveness key factors in making these feasible. Nanotechnology played crucial role achieving this goal, not only possible but also masking their complexity. In article, recent developments that benefit from nanotechnology are discussed. Microfluidics lab-on-a-chip technologies highlighted as major drivers testing, particularly infectious disease diagnosis. These enable various bioassays used at point care. article addresses challenges faced technological advances interesting future trends. benefits significant, is shifting towards prevention, early detection, managing chronic conditions. Infectious low-income can lead prompt treatment, preventing infections spreading.
