Ilex rotunda, an evergreen tree in the holly family, is a traditional medicine with high phenolic content and various pharmacological effects. This study aimed to investigate constituents from enriched fractions guided by total assay along feature-based molecular network. Nine compounds were isolated identified using multiple chromatography spectroscopic techniques. These isolates exhibited significantly antioxidative effects both free radical scavenging ROS assays. They also remarkedly alternated interleukin (IL)-2 production CD3/CD28-stimulated Jurkat T cells. The Western blotting suggested that these active might decrease IL-2 blocking activation of NF-κB MAPK signaling pathways downregulating phosphorylation p38 p65 proteins as well ERK JNK kinases. Molecular docking data confirmed above-mentioned biological properties those evaluating their binding affinities for target proteins. Our findings offer guidance assessing potential chemicals I. rotunda products improve oxidative stress enhance immune response more in-depth studies.

Polyphenols, naturally occurring phytonutrients found in plant-based foods, have attracted significant attention for their potential therapeutic effects neurological diseases and neuroinflammation. These compounds possess diverse neuroprotective capabilities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-amyloid properties, which contribute to mitigating the progression of neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's Disease (AD), Parkinson's (PD), Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Stroke, Huntington's (HD). Polyphenols been extensively studied ability regulate inflammatory responses by modulating activity pro-inflammatory genes influencing signal transduction pathways, thereby reducing neuroinflammation neuronal death. Additionally, polyphenols shown promise various cellular signaling pathways associated with viability, synaptic plasticity, cognitive function. Epidemiological clinical studies highlight polyphenol-rich diets decrease risk alleviate symptoms disorders Furthermore, demonstrated through regulation key Akt, Nrf2, STAT, MAPK, play critical roles neuroprotection body's immune response. This review emphasizes growing body evidence supporting combating neurodegeneration neuroinflammation, well enhancing brain health. Despite substantial promising hypotheses, further research investigations are necessary fully understand role establish them advanced targets age-related neuroinflammatory conditions.

Nanoformulations have become increasingly useful as drug delivery technologies in recent decades. As therapeutics, oral administration is the most common method, although it not always effective route because of challenges with swallowing, gastrointestinal discomfort, low solubility, and poor absorption. One significant barriers that medications must overcome to exert a therapeutic effect impact first hepatic transit. Studies shown controlled-release systems using nanoparticles composed biodegradable natural polymers significantly improve administration, which why these materials attracted attention. Chitosan possesses wide variety properties functions pharmaceutical well healthcare industries. Drug encapsulation transport within body are two its important features. Moreover, chitosan can enhance efficacy by facilitating interaction target cells. Based on physicochemical properties, potentially be synthesized into nanoparticles, this review summarizes advances applications orally delivered nanoparticle interventions.

This study conducted a literature review by searching for articles related to the treatment of skin infections/wrinkles using nano-delivery systems containing natural compounds. The search was in various databases published last 10 years, with strict inclusion and exclusion criteria. Of 490 found, 40 were considered relevant. Acne vulgaris is common dermatological disorder characterised inflammation sebaceous glands, often resulting development pimples, cysts, scarring. Conventional treatments, including antibiotics topical retinoids, frequently demonstrate limitations such as side effects, resistance, insufficient absorption. Recent advancements nanotechnology have enabled creation innovative drug-delivery that enhance effectiveness reduce adverse effects anti-acne medications. Polyphenols flavonoids, bioactive compounds notable anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial properties, are recognised their therapeutic acne treatment. However, practical application hindered solubility, stability, bioavailability. incorporation these into nanoparticle-based delivery has shown promise resolving challenges. Various nanoparticle platforms, lipid-based nanoparticles, polymeric solid lipid evaluated ability improve controlled release, targeted polyphenols flavonoids skin. advent polyphenol flavonoid-loaded nanoparticles marks new therapy era.
