The link between gut microbiome and eating behaviours, especially palatable food intake, is a growing focus of scientific investigation. complex ecosystem microorganisms in the influences host metabolism, immune function neurobehavioural signalling. This review explores role neuroinflammation dysregulations food-induced reward signalling potential causal microbiota on these proinflammatory processes. Particular attention given to disorders (ED, specifically anorexia nervosa, binge disorder bulimia nervosa) links with microbiota, alterations neuroinflammation. Finally, we propose modulation as promising therapeutic strategy ED.

Obesity, eating disorders and unhealthy dieting practices among children adolescents are alarming health concerns due to their high prevalence adverse effects on physical psychosocial health. We present the evidence that obesity can be managed or prevented using same interventions in pediatric age. In presence of age, disordered behaviors highly prevalent, increasing risk developing disorders. The most frequently observed subjects with bulimia nervosa binge-eating disorders, both which characterized by abnormal weight-control behaviors. Various mechanisms overlying interaction including environmental individual ones, different approaches reduce consequences. Evidence-based treatments for childhood include as first line weight loss nutritional management lifestyle modification via behavioral psychotherapy, well treatment psychiatric comorbidities if those not a consequence disorder. Drugs bariatric surgery need used extreme cases. Future research is necessary early detection factors prevention, more precise elucidation underpin these problems and, finally, cases requiring therapeutic intervention, provide tailored timely treatment. Obesity and overweight are a major public health problem globally. Diet quality is critical for proper child development, an unhealthy diet preventable risk factor noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as obesity. Consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages ultra-processed foods (UPFs) in childhood may increase the BMI/BMI z-score, body fat percentage, or likelihood overweight. A strict feeding regulation system allows sufficient food to be consumed meet ongoing metabolic demands while avoiding overconsumption. This narrative review explores issues obesity intake related reward systems UPF consumption. Nutrient composition alone cannot explain influence UPFs on Furthermore, non-nutritional properties mechanisms underlying relationship with NCDs. designed highly palatable, appealing, energy dense unique combination main taste enhancer ingredients generate strong rewarding stimulus circuits facilitation. How individual eating behavior processes remains not fully elucidated. To knowledge between pediatric obesity, it useful limit rapid growth prevalence subsequent complications, develop new strategies appropriate nutrition policies.

Abstract Background There is a substantial body of research on children’s eating behaviours (e.g., food responsiveness and fussiness) related constructs in the absence hunger, appetite self-regulation). Hyperphagia is a condition associated with rare obesity-related diseases, presenting as pathologic, insatiable hunger accompanied by abnormal food-seeking behaviors. Gut-brain signaling controls food intake and energy homeostasis, its activity is thought to be dysregulated in obesity. We will explore new studies that suggest the endocannabinoid (eCB) system upper gastrointestinal tract plays an important role controlling gut-brain neurotransmission carried by vagus nerve of palatable other reinforcers. A focus on reveal both indirect direct interactions between eCB vagal afferent neurons. These investigations identify (i) mechanism nutrient-induced release peptides from gut epithelium directly interact with corresponding receptors neurons, (ii) a via eCBs cannabinoid expressed Moreover, impact diet-induced obesity these pathways considered.

Obesity is a multifactorial disease with several potential causes that remain incompletely understood. Recent changes in the environment, which has become increasingly obesogenic, have been found to interact individual factors. Evidence of role taste responsiveness and food preference obesity reported, pointing lower sensitivity higher intake fat and, lesser extent, sweet foods obese people. Studies last decades also suggested differences neurophysiology reward may lead overeating, contributing obesity. However, further studies are needed confirm these findings. In fact, only limited number conducted on large samples, were women. Larger balanced terms sex/gender age required order control confounding effect variables. As many factors intertwined obesity, multidisciplinary approach needed. This will allow better understanding alteration behaviours people design more effective strategies promote healthier eating prevent related chronic risks.
