The biflavonoid extraction from ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba L.) leaves using solvent-based with 70% ethanol, alone and in combination enzyme-assisted, ultrasound-assisted, mechanical-assisted, chemically assisted methods was investigated the influence of duration explored. total content polyphenols, flavonoids, phenolic acids extracts determined spectrophotometrically, while individual biflavonoids were identified quantified HPLC-DAD. Amentoflavone, bilobetin, ginkgetin, isoginkgetin, sciadopitysin all our extracts. Among these, emerged as most prevalent an amount above 1 mg g−1 dw, followed by isoginkgetin. Comparative analysis revealed that, except for extraction, similar levels compounds obtained after 45 min extraction. However, enzymatic (EAE) mechanical-assisted (MAE) exhibited significantly higher (EAE: 19–41% higher; MAE: 22–67% higher) 29% MAE 50% just 5 min, suggesting their potential to abbreviate facilitate efficient retrieval target compounds. efficiency varies between biflavonoids, findings also underscore importance considering specific kinetics optimization leaf processes.

The dynamic development of various branches medicine and pharmacy, along with the emergence new preventive alternative therapies for diseases, creates opportunities solutions utilizing carriers active substances. Their therapeutic effect may occur through direct contact skin lesions or indirectly, where medicinal substances penetrate capillary network in deeper layers reach bloodstream. aim research was to obtain a matrix consisting two renewable-source polymers (chitosan ethylcellulose) core material derived from Ginkgo biloba green leaf extract (GBE). obtained ethylcellulose microcapsules encapsulated chitosan nanoparticles {Et[Ch(GB)NP]} were characterized respect size, shape, surface morphology (SEM microscopy), substance release kinetics (UV-VIS mathematical models). analyzed using UV-VIS spectroscopy models. released components assessed microbiologically activity against six bacterial strains fungal strains, as well chromatographically HPLC-ESI-QTOF-MS/MS fingerprinting. dual polymer layer exhibited slow material, which demonstrated microbiological activity. strongest antimicrobial effects observed Klebsiella pneumoniae Salmonella enteritidis, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) 410 µg/mL. double-layer structures more efficient physiological saline environment, best fit following zero-order model (regression coefficient R2 = 0.9939). show great potential applications medical industry. controlled properties antibacterial effectiveness make them promising carrier modern therapies.

Ginkgo biloba L. is a valuable medicinal plant known for its high content of flavonoids and terpenoids in the leaves young trees. Pruning can increase leaf yield ginkgo plantations; however, it unclear how intensity pruning affects quality. In addition, G. exhibits low cutting rooting rates, which limits efficiency asexual propagation. our study, we compared consecutive with varying levels intensity, including top pruning, light heavy to evaluate effects on rooting. The results showed that these three methods all contributed an number new branches, weight, flavonoid five-year-old Among them, effect was best, 150% branch number, 130% 40.6% content. secondary further increased area by 22.3%, indicating enhanced rejuvenation plants yield. At transcriptional level, significantly change expression genes related bud sprouting, resulting particularly significant SHR buds. also promoted important synthesis, chalcone synthase (CHS), 3′-hydroxylase (F3′H), flavonol (FLS), dihydroflavonol reductase (DFR). Furthermore, demonstrated rate second-pruned cuttings screened optimal hormone ratio rooting, 1.5 μM MeJA + 400 mg/L NAA 100 Uniconazole-P. These suggest effectively rejuvenate promote biloba. This method not only be used improve quality leaves, but

Abstract The antioxidant activity of Ginkgo biloba leaf (GBL) extract is closely related to its efficacy against various diseases; however, the activities specific constituents GBL remain unclear. In this study, 194 were identified using ultra‐performance liquid chromatography‐quadrupole‐time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry, including 97 flavonoids, 37 terpenoids, 29 lignans, 19 carboxylic acids, 5 alkylphenolic alkylphenols, and 2 other compounds. cleavage rules main dissected in detail. 36 with high subsequently discovered oxygen radical absorbance capacity assay, 30 flavonoids six acids. Finally, an HPLC analysis method was established determine content nine major antioxidants three batches GBL. Among them, kaempferol 3‐O‐β‐D‐(6″‐p‐coumaroyl) glucopyranosyl‐(1‐2)‐α‐L‐rhamnopyranoside, kaempferol‐3‐O‐rutinoside, rutin exhibited found significant amounts GBL, concentrations greater than 0.7 mg/g. These results provide important reference for development pharmaceuticals health products containing

In this communication the focus is on summarization of complex molecular pathways that Ginkgo biloba Linn. utilizes to treat metabolic syndromes, a major international health concern marked by interrelated risk factors like obesity, insulin resistance, dyslipidaemia, and hypertension. Several databases, including Web Science, Google Scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus, PubChem, were used while literature review was conducted. The use suitable keywords mechanism biloba, pharmacological activities medicinal plants, herbal remedies in syndromes etc. made. It attempted all English language articles published between 1980 2023 referred. Numerous mechanisms contribute development various their factors. These include chronic low-grade inflammation, increased oxidative stress, dysregulation lipid metabolism, impaired mitochondrial function, others. This summarizes ways which Gingko through modification ROS formation, blocking activation NADPH oxidases, modifying expression antioxidant enzymes, downregulating MAPKs AP-1, increasing cAMP, deactivating Stat5, activating AMPK signalling pathway, influencing Stat3/JAK2, NF-κB, Nrf-2, mTOR, HGF/c-Met, Wnt/β-catenin, BMP pathways, transmembrane potential, etc., can alleviate disorders related dysfunction. therapeutic properties its constituents, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-apoptotic, apoptotic activities, have drawn attention recent years. response growing public demand for novel therapeutics, prospective medicines may be produced comprehending networks.
