Use of nanoparticles have established benefits in a wide range applications, however, the effects exposure to on health and environmental risks associated with production use are less well-established. The present study addresses this gap knowledge by examining, through scoping review current literature, human environment. We searched relevant databases including Medline, Web Science, ScienceDirect, Scopus, CINAHL, Embase, SAGE journals, as well Google, Google Scholar, grey literature from June 2021 July 2021. After removing duplicate articles, title abstracts 1495 articles were first screened followed full-texts 249 studies, resulted inclusion 117 studies presented review.In contribution we conclude that while offer distinct they pose significant threats humans Using several biological models biomarkers, included revealed toxic (mainly zinc oxide, silicon dioxide, titanium silver, carbon nanotubes) include cell death, oxidative stress, DNA damage, apoptosis, induction inflammatory responses. In agriculture, abiotic stress is one of the critical issues impacting crop productivity and yield. Chromium (Cr) is a toxic heavy metal that contaminates soil and water resources after its discharge from different industries. It can act as carcinogen mutagen for biological systems. Engineered nanoparticles (NPs) are considered potential agents for agriculture as fertilizers and growth enhancers. However, their action spectrum differs strongly, depending on the type of NP, its concentrations, plant species per se, ranging from stimulation to toxicity. This work aimed investigate effects iron oxide (Fe3O4) NPs growth, photosynthesis, respiration, antioxidant activity, leaf mineral content wheat plants. Wheat seeds were treated with NP 3 h plants grown in soil at two light intensities, 120 300 μmol (photons) m−2·s−1, followed by physiological assessment several time points.
