Environmental pollutants have been recognized for their ability to induce various adverse outcomes in both the environment and human health, including inflammation, apoptosis, necrosis, pyroptosis, autophagy. Understanding these biological mechanisms has played a crucial role risk assessment management efforts. Microplastic–pesticide interactions influence pesticide performance, soil health, and environmental safety. This review aims to comprehensively present the effects of microplastic–pesticide on bioavailability, persistence, toxicity, along with their agricultural implications pest control. It reviews more than 90 related articles from established scholarly databases. Most studies indicate that bioavailability decreases in presence microplastics due adsorption, which is frequently influenced by hydrophobicity (log Kow) pesticides surface area type microplastics.
