ABSTRACT The growing importance of sustainability poses significant challenges to companies, particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Product life cycle assessment focuses on individual products, often leaving MSMEs without a complete picture their overall environmental impact, especially within complex long value chains. Organisational Life Cycle Assessment (OLCA) appears be valid approach address these by assessing all activities an organisation. OLCA offers comprehensive view organisation’s performance, overcoming the faced MSMEs, such as resource constraints chain when adopting product LCA. ABSTRACT What happens when already sceptical customers start questioning company communication? Encouraged by the vague answers to this question, our study extends existing knowledge about effects of customers' environmental concern, scepticism and communication on green purchasing intention (GPI) behaviour (GPB) across environmentally controversial industries—namely, textile clothing food industries. Using own primary data collected in November 2023 covering 1001 Czech Republic, where issue sustainability is generally back burner, we show that increased concern can completely change relationship between GPI, thereby leading positive effects. interesting new finding trust distrust act as significant mediators relationships investigated thus far. The aftermath of greenwashing in the fashion industry: Chinese consumer responses to different types of greenwashing DOI

Purpose An increasing number of fashion firms face criticism for “greenwashing” due to the industry’s longstanding negative environmental and social impacts. This experimental study, in industry context, evaluated consumers’ perceptions hypocrisy, demonstrated by false labeling, vague information downsizing impacts corporate responsibility initiatives. study also investigated how these influence evaluations firm’s moral inequity their likelihood engaging complaint behaviors. Design/methodology/approach online survey company recruited Chinese consumers participate a between-subjects study. Three types news articles were developed – aspects reporting on fictitious greenwashing practices. Participants randomly assigned one stimuli completed corresponding survey. Findings Analysis 210 collected responses revealed that labeling had highest level hypocrisy perceptions, whereas resulted lowest level. ABSTRACT Accurate reporting on the sustainability of business value propositions must be supported by reliable data sources and sound methodologies such as life cycle assessment (LCA). Showing commitment to more responsible activity without quantifying impacts, or them only partially, could fall into greenwashing practices. This research aims analyze what extent thinking tools are widespread in global companies' reports determine whether companies practicing greenwashing. Purpose In the last two decades, there has been growing attention to social and environmental issues in fast-fashion supply chains due increased innovation, awareness internationalisation. Extant studies have explored key sustainable practices chain multinational companies (MNCs) small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). However, this study aims address a dearth of literature related performance measurement. Design/methodology/approach The research uses quantitative qualitative data explore measure MNCs SMEs as comparative study.
