While the negative impact of pandemic on students' mental health has been studied around world, very little is known about faculty and staff. This research aims to examine among Japanese members who taught online courses during COVID-19 pandemic. We recruited 537 university assessed their using World Health Organization-Five Well-Being Index (WHO-5), both retrospectively (during academic year before onset pandemic) also evaluated workload (number lectures preparation time per class), difficulty in information technology (IT) for classes, satisfaction with support service education. As a result, WHO-5 score was significantly lower than before, 33.5% were recognized as being at risk illness A binomial logistic regression analysis revealed two significant factors illness-faculty more when they experienced IT unsatisfied administrative The deterioration not predicted by workload, such number time. This paper synthesizes knowledge on how the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic reshaped relationship between cities and quality of life. The possible impacts seven domains life - travel, leisure, work, social relationships, residential well-being, emotional responses, health during COVID-19 are reviewed. Findings indicate that role transport land use, urban nature, public space, facilities services, housing, information communications technology (ICT) in was transformed COVID-19. Access to healthcare services local amenities; opportunities for walking cycling; COVID-19-secure transport; access a car; blue or green space nearby nature; easy open space; living dwelling sufficient size quality; private communal outdoor areas; ICT infrastructure systems possibly helped mitigate negative cities. This paper provides new evidence on the role of city planning, urban form, and built environment characteristics in health well-being during coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Based survey geographic information systems (GIS) data from Oslo Viken Norway, investigates changes due to COVID-19 how compact its relate these changes. Findings indicate that self-reported measures worsened COVID-19. The most substantial were reported for life satisfaction, anxiety, satisfaction with leisure, personal relationships, vacations. Despite the growing number of teleworkers and unsustainable challenges (e.g., environmental pollution) facing megacities due to population pressure, few studies have investigated whether telework can reduce pressure in megacities. This study conducts a scenario-based experiment proposes that by enticing megacity residents leave megacity. Specifically, given increasing companies are adopting metaverse teleworking offices, this classifies into non-metaverse empirically demonstrates both types positively influence an individual’s intention relocate from non-megacity.
