Abstract
Ascomycetes
belonging
to
the
order
Sordariales
are
a
well-known
reservoir
of
secondary
metabolites
with
potential
beneficial
applications.
Species
ubiquitous,
and
they
commonly
found
in
soils
lignicolous,
herbicolous,
coprophilous
habitats.
Some
their
species
have
been
used
as
model
organisms
modern
fungal
biology
or
were
be
prolific
producers
potentially
useful
metabolites.
However,
majority

poorly
studied.
Traditionally,
classification
has
mainly
based
on
morphology
ascomata,
ascospores,
asexual
states,
