This paper presents an overview of various types virtual museums (ViM) as native artifacts or digital twins (DT) physical (PM). Depending on their mission and features, we discuss enabling technologies sensor equipment with specific requirements complexities, advantages drawbacks in relation to each other at all stages a DT’s life cycle. EXtended Reality (XR) alongside the Digital Twin (DT) in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) emerges as a promising next-generation technology. In the realm of smart manufacturing, Augmented Reality (AR) technology has gained increasing attention among researchers and manufacturers due to its practicality adaptability. The advent of 6G networks and beyond calls for innovative paradigms to address the stringent demands emerging applications, such as extended reality autonomous vehicles, well technological frameworks like digital twin networks. Traditional cloud computing edge architectures fall short in providing their required flexibility, scalability, ultra-low latency. Cloud centralizes resources distant data centers, leading high latency increased network congestion, while computing, though closer sources, lacks agility dynamically adapt fluctuating workloads, user mobility, real-time requirements. In-network (INC) offers a transformative solution by integrating computational capabilities directly into fabric, enabling dynamic distributed task execution. In this paper, we studied the effects of using Microsoft HoloLens 2 in a Metaverse-based collaborative mixed reality environment on driver’s social presence while an autonomous driving system.
